My Ultimate Endgame Build!
[Thermal Transfer] got a HUGE buff since Augments no longer combine with Weapon elements! You can run Cold, Heat, or Blast on your weapons for free now, which is just crazy (with Thermal Transfer -- there are some other sources of this kind of damage buff). No Strength is required for this to be effective, IMO.
Running dual Shield Regen/Recharge Mods due to the insane infinite Shield Gating Gauss is capable of in tandem with Arcane Aegis (which can be unranked). Not sure if both are needed -- seems like Maxed Aegis and [Fast Deflection] might be enough, based on my testing. Guardian Break from Vazarin also buffs this capability, as does the Mod [Fortitude].
- Molt Augmented helps us get back to 100% Strength which helps Kinetic Plating out a lot, although it does still have 100% defensive capabilities when 100% Redline is reached.
- Arcane Aegis slot is flexible if not using the Shield [Regen] build.
- [Archon Vitality] is primarily useful for Thermal Sunder but is not necessary and can be unranked.
- Replace Equilibrium with Energy Nexus if you want. I like its synergy with Kinetic Plating, but you can also just put Streamline and/or [Fleeting Expertise]. [Natural Talent] is also fun.
[Cunning Drift] is there to max out Range, but plenty of other options work here. [Rush] and [Vigilante Pursuit] are my favorite alternatives.
Please note: this [Gauss] has an Aura Forma and is extremely useful and flexible. I recommend it where feasible, since [Corrosive Projection] is not always needed. [Brief Respite], Worth Comaradery, Steel Charge are all useful and not Naramon (dash) polarity.
I really like Sprint Boost, Holster Amp, and Growing Power for low-level content/Relics.
My [Gauss] also has 2x (Tau) Red Archon Shards for Duration (185% total with P. [Continuity]), and 2x (Tau) Yellow for Casting Speed. I tend to run Parkour Velocity in the final Shard slot.
Madurai is recommended for casting speed + power strength (my preference). Zenurik is also great for the Energy [Regen] stacking. Naramon is fine for Melee builds, too!
