Forbidden Techniques from the Grimoire of Gloom: Atlas

This series serves as a spiteful testament to the unwavering power of Sevagoth's Helminth subsume: Gloom.

Shards:

As always, shards are a luxury and are not mandatory.

  • R: 2 +DUR
  • Y: 0
  • B: 3 + Energy Max

Ability Breakdown:

1: Landslide
Punch people until they explode. Freeze people with 3 to build up rubble, then after 1400 it becomes free to cast (passive augment: [Rubble Heap]), alleviating the energy strain when using Gloom.

2: Tectonics
We won't be using this ability.

3: Petrify
Freeze enemies with Petrify, kill them, then pick up the rubble to fuel your free 1 casts.

4: Gloom
Name of the game.
Subsuming it over 4 means we can utilize [Precision Intensify] and save ourselves some mod slots. With Molt Augmented, [Growing Power], and [Transient Fortitude], our strength gets pushed to 180%. Precision Intensify boosts this to 270%, which is only 3% STR off from Gloom's cap of 273%.

Arcanes:

Arcane Energize: The go-to method to top off your energy. As long as you aren't hitting the 10 energy/s effective cap of Energize, you shouldn't have a problem.

Molt Augmented: The easiest source of free strength. There are some downsides, one is that you may have to recast if you want to use Gloom early, as Gloom snapshots your current strength on cast. The other is that it is not fit for shorter missions because of the 250 kill requirement.

Stats:

  • = DUR: Petrify should be fine at neutral DUR if you are killing fast enough. Anything more is unneeded.
  • + EFF: This is to maintain Gloom, but also makes the initial process of getting rubble easier by reducing 3 cast cost.
  • + RNG: This is mostly for Gloom, but it helps extend the lock on range for 1 and the sightline for 3.
  • + STR: [Atlas] would like high strength so his punches benefit from it, Precision Intensify allows us to essentially hit Gloom slow cap without taking a hit to our energy economy.

Other Notes:

  • No PSF because we're assuming you're keeping grounded.
  • Remember to use him with a stat stick so his punches actually hurt. Here's Ninjase's. Feel free to use different ones if you feel like differentiating.
  • You can try using [Ore Gaze] over [Primed Flow] if you are comfortable with your energy economy.
