Take charge with the Saint of Altra. Gauss is fast, deals high damage, and has strong survivability. Movement charges his powerful battery, so never stop moving.

Best build with all abilities synergy

I've tried several builds, but with [Gauss] using all abilities and specified mods isn't possible, the best synergy reached only when you use normal mods.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Which mods didn't fit:

  • Blind Range - sprinting on [Gauss] is costly, as well as duration as you use [Fleeting Expertise], this mod ruin quick recasting of all abilities and continuous sprinting (Fleeting Expertise should be lowered as much as possible)

  • Transient Fortitude - this mod ruin duration which need for Redline (4), while even better will be use [Intensify] (Umbral) + [Augur Secrets] (on place Augur Message, with this two mods you get longer duration and only a bit fewer Strength or better if use Umbral)

  • Narrow Minded - This mod ruin Thermal Sunder (3) range as well as Mach [Rush] (1) explosion. It is not good to play on [Gauss] without casting this ability, because it may not only fill your battery, but provide nice statuses on a crowd (if range is 175%).

  • Overextended - This mod ruin everything, not only abilities have a lot less damage, but also with Kinetic Plating (2) you will get lower damage reduction cap. This ability should be used, probably, all the time, and it give you survivability.

Any other mod will decrease [Gauss] capabilities, because every mod here is essential and we can only put 1 aura, 1 exilus and 8 mods only.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

But there a few replacement recommendations:

  • Redirection may be replacing for Adaptation, but in many cases it work a bit worse: as Gauss running fast and can drop/freeze enemies, it will not be filled and not protect you much, while you may be 1-shotted from high-level enemies, which can damage with statuses, which Kinetic Plating (2) not resisting, but it will help with covering you from Toxin and Slash procs a way more effective. [Redirection] there are just larger pool of general survivability, considering Gauss passive for regenerating shield 120% faster and in 80% shorter time.

  • Augur Message replaced for Primed Flow for more larger pool of energy (in my play-style I collect energy faster and reuse in shorter time).

  • [Umbral Intensify] not essential to be Umbral, [Intensify] and even [Augur Secrets] are still nice replacements.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Also if you ask question about Coaching Drift on place, where other people place Rush, the answer is simple: while we only loose about 15% speed bonus, it not look like a game-changer on a play-style. I will even say, what on small tilesets it will be harder to stop before collide with a wall if you don't really want to do it for explosion (e.g. doing speedruns on a missions like Capture, Rescue, Assassination, e.t.c.), but it not only give more speed to your teammates, but also amplify their Auras, since you took from slot useful auras like [Corrosive Projection]. It is a way better solution, than putting [Rush] here.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

For Arcanes should be used Arcane Aegis, but second is for your choice, I prefer Energize since during Mach Rush (1) you can't recover energy sing Zenurik, so you can pick a 100-energy orb and continue running longer and never run out of energy and have no problems with recasting and consisting Redline and Kinetic Plating.
