Chop 'em up! - Prisma Dual Cleavers = Best Melee?

Chop 'em up! - [Prisma Dual Cleavers] = Best Melee?

Why?

[Prisma Dual Cleavers] were always on my radar since their inception. Patch after patch melee weapons were changed around, damage was changes, now status effects were changed. And after every patch I found these weapons more and more attractive when compared to their counterparts. Finally this day I compared them to the previous king of melee (IMO) Lesion, and to everyone's surprise - Prisma Dual Cleavers outperformed Lesion in both the simulacrum and a real in-game scenario - Steel Path Lua Defense.

On Paper the base stats of the Prisma Dual Cleavers are pretty much perfect:
Attack speed - 1.00
Critical chance - 25%
Critical multiplier - 3.0x
Status chance - 25%

Damage:
Impact - 13.3
Puncture - 13.3
Slash - 106.4

Compare that to the previous king - Lesion:
Attack speed - 1.00
Critical chance - 15%
Critical multiplier - 2.0x
Status chance - 37%

Damage:
Impact - 47.4
Puncture - 11.9
Slash - 177.8

Overall the cleavers have a:
Higher crit modifier and chance - a great bonus since Blood Rush and crit/status changes.
Lower status chance - This is what held [Lesion] as king previously, now with the status changes status is still necessary, but not as powerful
And a better IPS distribution - This leads to more slash procs which are more powerful than ever before due to corrosion nerfs.

Mod Explanation

Blood Rush, Organ Shatter, Berserker - This is a crit weapon therefore you need these. Sac. Steel is not great on fast weapons and [Amalgam Organ Shatter] is worse since you won't be heavy attacking with these. Berserker can be swapped out if you're playing as [Valkyr], [Volt] or Wisp due to their built in attack speed boosts, though it might still be worth keeping it in.

Condition Overload - Whilst the Prisma Dual Cleavers mostly deal only Slash and one other element Condition Overload might seem like a weak choice - however that argument only applies to the first one or two hits AND you're playing solo. With only 1 status effect [Condition Overload] is already almost on par with [Primed Pressure Point] and with 2 it's much, much stronger already. If you are lucky to land a third status or if you have any allies that inflict status effects - there is no comparison anymore.
Feel free to still use Pressure Point on very low level missions.

Primed Reach, Drifting Contact - You need [Reach] and combo duration on this weapon. If you have a riven that gives either, you'd replace one of these with it, otherwise don't @me :D
Ash's blade storm augment renders Drifting Contact fairly useless - Swap it out for Volcanic Edge in that case.

Dual Stat Mods - You have two options here - Viral and Corrosive. Both are almost exactly identical in effectiveness - Corrosive performs better against Grineer and Corrupted, Viral against Corpus and Infested. Pick your poison.

Alternatives

As mentioned above -
[Condition Overload] can be replaced by [Primed Pressure Point] for low level missions.

Corrosive Dual stats can be replaced with Viral Dual stats

Primed Reach and Drifting Contact can be replaced by a Riven

Berserker can be replaced by pretty much anything - I'd recommend [Volcanic Edge] or [Gladiator Might]
