Flying Monkeys Build Philosophy (Read Guide)

The Flying Monkeys is a small [Ghost] clan with combined thousands of hours on Warframe. We originally began this account as a clan repository for our high investment builds.

Our build philosophy is centered around squad play into extreme enemy levels for players who have unlocked virtually everything while trying to augment the natural capabilities of each Warframe, even the lackluster ones. First, this means that our builds frequently use Umbral Forma (which can typically be worked around with more normal Forma) and will always consider Archon Shards. Second, this means many of our builds are not centered around the Frame doing damage, but supporting their squad in various ways.

We do not generally engage with specific loadout combinations, holding the belief that each weapon or Warframe should function independently of whatever else is equipped. In the case where some weapons heavily impact a Frame, (e.g. [Mag], [Kullervo]) you may find suitable accompanying builds linked.

Although we look towards level cap, we do not generally prefer [Rolling Guard]. The mod is very good, but we do not like how it forces limitations on movement. In many cases, it remains BiS as a single defensive mod. It's mostly a collective preference from us, and can be slotted into many of our builds. However, [Fast Deflection] and [Catalyzing Shields] are very effective as well.

Our general conception of Warframe roles is at least the following: DPS, CC, Tank, Damage buff and debuff, Armor and defense strip, Energy vamp and enabling, Eximus and Overguard control, and Looting. Virtually every frame does more than one of these.
