Rad-Viral-Heat New Optimal Setup | 2024

[Ice Storm] is preference for those who have a problem with its low [Mag] size

Why do we use?

Why radiation? The common consensus is that we use magnetic progen on all secondary builds that use viral+heat, this is because we are in a secondary heat meta and heat is weak to shields, which will be our main source of dot. Viral also does nothing against them so we might as well have two empty mod slots.

However, we have a unique case with the Spirex this time. We choose radiation because Spirex has forced impact on directs; people tend to forget that impact is one of the best elements to use against shields as impact has increased damage multipliers against both types of enemy shields, and since we have guaranteed multipliers against them magnetic gets devalued in favor of radiation for increased damage against machinery and murmur.

Why are we not using [Internal Bleeding]? Because this isn’t 2020 anymore and cascadia flair is just that powerful in todays meta, we can fully stack 480% damage from flair in less than half a magazine, which scales multiplicatively with gunco on this weapon.
The problem with [Internal Bleeding] is it does not increase our damage, it just allows us to proc slash against the damage we already deal, however, with p [Heated Charge] thats a +165% elemental damage bonus.

If we objectify slash in a [Vacuum] without its gimmick, then slash is a terrible status effect, as not only does it ignore elemental bonuses, but it also has a very low damage multiplier of only 0.35x.

Unlike slash heat scales forever, we also have two instances of applying heat compared to internal bleedings one, without having to [Sacrifice] our progenitor bonus for an inconsistent at best impact roll, so while [Hemorrhage] does have a 70% chance to apply slash, with this build we have a 88.9% chance to apply heat and we are also no longer limited to a 2.5 fire rate, so a [Hemorrhage] build is inherently worse and overrated once again.

Should you pick [Kuva Seer] vs [Tenet Spirex]:

[Seer] is slightly more accurate than spirex which is both a good and a bad thing, the [Seer] will have an advantage against single targets while spirex will have the advantage in grouping because of the shot spread. [Seer] has a higher zoom which amplifies recoil and hinders close range encounters, both of these weapons are very innacurate so you cant really take advantage at long range either, because shots will spread out like a shotgun.

[Tenet Spirex] has the crit advantage by far. Having guaranteed yellow crits with [Creeping Bullseye] and boasting a 0.5x higher multiplier

[Seer] has a negligible fire rate bonus, [Seer] will finish its 9 round [Mag] in around the same amount of time spirex will finish its 8 rounds.

Spirex has a much faster potential reload at 1.2s compared to seers 2.3s

Spirex once again takes the lead with 7% additional status or 18.2% lead with two 60/60s

[Seer] has a 0.3 meter larger explosion at 2.3 meters which translates to a blast area of 16.6m vs 12.5m and a blast volume of 50.9m vs 33.5m, however, spirex only has a -20% falloff compared to seer -30%

[Seer] dominates the ips department, having a infinitely better slash weight than spirex’s… nothing. However spirex has forced impact allowing hemmorhage. Impact is also good at removing shields which heat by itself is hilariously bad at.

Seer has the edge in dealing with armored targets, having innate corrosive, seer is able to innate stack corrosive-viral-magnetic-heat-slash all in one! But notice how i say only armored targets, cause the spirex has innate heat, less interfering status effects, and a higher status chance, so, with a spirex viral-mag-heat build, while it may not have the same kind of armor strip perk, it will proc heat at close to double the pace of the [Seer], so it will scale faster against every other enemy.

But this argument isnt finished, because the [Seer] has a two status effect advantage meaning a potential 240% gunco base damage increase, which is multiplicative on directs for BOTH weapons

However, there is one thing i havent mentioned yet, one that definitively makes the spirex better without contest, and that is ammo economy.
The kuva seer’s ammo economy is GOD-AWFUL Having only 3 reserve magazines for a total of 27 and an ammo pickup rate of 9. Because of this, we are forced to pick either mutation or ammo max as our exilus

The [Tenet Spirex] ammo economy opposingly is near limitless! Having 10 reserve mags for a total of 80 and an ammo pickup of 60 whole ass rounds per drop, practically refilling its entire reserves with a single pickup

Overall, the Spirex is the better choice, the [Seer] slightly outpaces spirex against armored targets, but spirex outperforms [Seer] against everything else simply because it is monumentally more efficient and reliable.
