Harness antimatter. Nova uses antiparticles to provide crowd control and amplify damage output. She obliterates enemies by destabilizing matter itself.

This is a zero forma [Nova] build that is generally useful in most content. The highlight of [Nova]'s kit is her 4, Molecular Prime, which expands a wave throughout the map that makes enemies take double damage. Her 1 gives her these little balls that orbit her and give her damage resistance, and [Molecular Fission] lets you regain their charges when you kill enemies affected by her 4. Her 2 is strong, but kind of annoying to use and its range isn't affected by mods, so you can't really build for it. Her 3 is good for going fast, but is definitely niche; besides, we actually want low range from [Narrow Minded] for a bunch of duration but also so her 1's orbs stay on us instead of seeking enemies.
An important thing to know about [Nova] for any newer player is that, despite making enemies take 2x damage, her 4 can actually slow missions down drastically because it lowers enemy movement speed. This is especially relevant in Defense. When playing with others, try to be considerate and recognise that many groups won't need the extra damage or the slow. If everyone starts struggling to stay alive and kill enemies as quickly as they are coming at you, then it makes sense to use your 4.
If you like Nova and want a higher-end build (including versatility for different enemy speed multipliers on Molecular Prime), I have one here: https://overframe.gg/build/502575
