Wisp - The Zaw Abuser

My entire build is at the bottom of the page.

This build is fully focused on ability strength with some range and duration. The main playstyle is to drop down your reservoirs and switch between your Primer and Zaw to one-shot everything.

I don't run Flow/Primed Flow with this build because of Arhcon Stretch, since your Shock Mote will proc Electric, and also because you don't need a massive amount of energy with this build, but feel free to swap out Arcane Arachne for Arcane Energize if you find yourself low on energy during missions.

Mods:

  • Steel Charge is good for stacking melee damage and more mod capacity, but you can also use Holster Amp or Corrosive Projection if you want to use another format on the Intensify slot.
  • Power Drift gives more strength which is nice, but I will be swapping it out for Primed Sure Footed once I have it.

  • Archon Intensify is great as you are constantly healing yourself or your team, which gives you more Strength overall, just be sure to place down a second set of motes while your buff is active for that little extra push. If you don't feel like micro-managing your HP, Umbral Intensify gives you a more consistent strength value without having to min-max.

  • Blind Rage, Augur Secrets, Transient Fortitude all focus on Ability Strength which is the main focus of this build as mentioned above.
  • Vigorous Swap gives you a LOT of damage when you swap use your Zaw and synergises well with having a good primer.
  • Fused Reservoir is key because it allows you to place all 3 reservoirs simultaneously, giving you all your buffs.
  • Primed Continuity helps stack some more duration to your build, making the reservoir buffs last longer while you're away from them.
  • Archon Stretch is AMAZING and completely removes the need to run Arcane Energize since you'll always be dealing electric damage through your shock mote, proc-ing the archon buff, which perma regens your energy. I never run out of energy with this. Keep in mind I also run Synth mods on my pets, which plays a role in the energy income.

Helminth:

Ability:
Eclipse. That's it. Your 4th ability on Wisp is useless with this build. Just use Eclipse. You CAN use roar if you want, but that's really not as good for raw one-shot damage.
One tip I use is to Invert your Eclipse so you get the damage buff on tap. Go to Options -> Gameplay -> Invert Tap/Hold Abilities -> Mirage -> Inverted.

Archon Shards:
1. Ability Strength/Melee Critical Damage (Crimson Shard) I full-spec into 4 Ability Strength Tau's because I use wisp for other builds. But if you're going for zaw-only build, then split 2 Ability Strength and 2 Melee Crit Damage.
2. Casting Speed (Amber Shard) Casting speed is quite good on [Wisp] so you're not stuck in your animations for as long. I would recommend putting in 2 if you want to, but I personally use only 1.
