A more efficient [Hildryn].
Almost all [Hildryn] builds out there use corrupted mods to max out strength at the expense of efficiency and duration. Say no to corrupted mods, kids. You can make much more well-rounded and survivable builds without them. Some Range and Duration is good for Pillage, which is critical to the kit. And if you're running around with your [Balefire Charger], spamming Pillage and using Haven, you don't want to have double the shield cost to keep everything up and running.
Helminth options for replacing her 4:
- Gloom is a great support ability because of letting nearby allies heal themselves, and slowing the enemies of course, but with [Hildryn] it's a little odd because if you ever run out of shields, your Gloom will halt, so you can't heal yourself with it anyway. Effectively, it loses the self-heal, but still lets your mates heal and slows down enemies.
- Breach surge, Air burst, or Thermal Sunder might be interesting choices for aggressively CC'ing an area.
- Roar is a good option for increasing general effectiveness of the kit
- Elemental Ward helps defense. Shooting Gallery is also great for disabling enemies and gives a little additive damage boost.
Ultimately, I will keep a build with Gloom because having enemies slow down a lot is helpful, even if I'm unable to heal myself, but I will be also have a build with Shooting Gallery (for when you just don't want enemies shooting at you), and play around more with Breach Surge.
[Balefire Charger]: Don't forget [Gunslinger] to speed up charge time. I'm also trying out [Primed Fulmination].
