build 8 forma + 5 tauforged shards (2 casting, 1 energy max, 2 power duration) replaced icewave with ensnare.
you could make a case for putting two strength tauforge shards instead and replace the rank 5 [Transient Fortitude] with some other duration mod. but I use this [Frost] for a variety of builds and that shard configuration works best for all of them.

transient is at rank 5 because it along with molt augmented will make it so that [Frost]'s 4 strips all armour from enemies in a huge 33 meter radius which along with [Biting Frost] will make the enemies suffer even more damage thanks to the crit chance and crit damage buff of [Biting Frost]. not to mention ensnare grouping enemies
