Commodore's Fortune - Crit Viral/Slash Incarnon [Telos Boltor]

Originally a fan of the [Boltor] when first playing the game, it sadly couldn't hold its own in the long run. Now that we can add an Incarnon adapter to it, we can bring this rifle back and surpass its previous glory! The base form's damage and fire rate might be a little lacking, but it allows you to build up stacks with relative ease. When transformed, this turns into a fully automatic shotgun with a respectable rate of fire. With proper aim, you will rarely have to reload as it is very easy to build up full stacks before your magazine is empty.

Even though this is designed as a bleed build, when the stars align you can still hit fairly hard apart from that. Here's a head shot on a lvl 137 Steel Path Guardian Eximus with the wrong bane mod equipped. Most of the shots you see will probably be within the tens to hundreds of thousands per pellet but it's nice to see a few million, which happens fairly regularly. It may not have the highest DPS on paper, but it slaughters everything so far; quite often you may kill the enemy before the bleed has a chance to kick in.

I should probably preface this with the fact that I am a [Wisp] main, and as such I'm used to having ridiculous fire rate at all times. Due to having no fire rate mods, this may feel like it fires too slow while in its base form but once transformed it feels a bit more comfortable.

Mod Explanation

Galvanized Aptitude: 80% Status Chance and Damage per status on Enemy. This helps us build and maintain viral stacks to increase our damage.

Galvanized Chamber: 230% Multishot at max stacks. Helps us charge incarnon mode rapidly as well as improving damage.

Galvanized Scope: 320% increased Critical Chance while Aiming at full stacks. This helps us break into always at least yellow-crits and commonly hitting orange-crits with 151% crit chance

Vital Sense: 120% Increased critical damage to boost both the initial hit and slash proc.

Hunter Munitions: 30% chance to apply Slash on Critical. This is how we get our slash procs while also having a high viral damage to be prioritized from natural status procs.

Primed Cryo Rounds: 165% Cold Damage. Could use a 60/60 mod here if you'd prefer, though viral procs feel like they build up fine without.

Malignant Force: 60/60 Toxin/status chance. This brings us to ~25% status chance when transformed. Could substitute [Infected Clip] instead, though status chance will be ~19% at that point and it didn't feel quite as smooth.

Primed Bane of Grineer: Added 1.55 multiplier to damage and double-dipping on the slash proc. Make sure to match with enemy type.

Vigilante Supplies: 5% chance to enhance crits. Helps us occasionally hit red crits while also turning some yellow crits into orange. Could swap this based on preference.

Primary Deadhead: 360% increased damage for 24 seconds at max stacks. +30% Headshot Multi and -50% recoil. What's not to love?

Alternate Options

In case you don't want to worry about head shots
You can swap Galvanized Scope for Critical Delay. This will lower our crit chance from 151% to 108%, making orange crits much rarer but you can just aim at the body all you want. Move Malignant Force into Galvanized Scope's slot in order to not re-forma.

Primary Deadhead can also be replaced with Primary Merciless. You wont get the bonus headshot damage anymore or reduced recoil, but will have increased reload speed which also translates to a faster change between forms.

If you would prefer non-bleed
We wont need to worry about status as much. Can swap out Malignant Force for Infected Clip for higher damage per-shot. this will require you to forma one of the V slots as a - instead. If you plan for this before hand, should be the same forma cost.

Can remove Hunter Munitions and replace it with Bladed Rounds for more critical damage while aiming bringing our crit multi from 7 to 10.33

Can replace the Bane mod for either Vile Acceleration or Primed Shred based off preference. If using Vile Acceleration, you will need a different polarity for the slot.

Evolution Path

Evolution I: Incarnon Form
Evolution II: Crimson Overture - +6 damage and 60% ammo efficiency at max stacks. The ammo efficiency mostly helps in the base form.
Evolution III: Swift Deliverance - 60% Projectile Speed. This is a QoL option. Could swap it for the Reload Speed if you'd prefer as it helps when switching to the incarnon form.
Evolution IV: Commodore's Fortune - 6% increased critical strike chance. This brings us up to 36% base crit and helps us easily surpass 100% crit chance with mods.
