[Strun] turns into an AOE launcher on incarnon form. The perk elemental balance allows the incarnon mode to achieve 400% status per shot.

[Strun Prime] is about 13% better than [Strun Wraith] for overall AOE DPS and higher final status chance (400% on prime and 317% on wraith with same build)

EVOLUTION II : Blazing Barrel - gives multishot

EVOLUTION III : Rapid Reinforcement gives +60% reload speed to the insanely long base reload speed of the non-incarnon form of 4.6s. Stacks with +30% from Primary Merciless so the final reload speed is 2.4s. Reload speed also affects the transformation speed into incarnon mode. Alternatively, Galvanic Reload is very nice if you also enjoy the incarnoff mode since its basically ammo efficiency.

EVOLUTION IV : Elemental Balance gives +11.3% status chance to EACH pellet on the base form. Since [Strun Prime] has 12 innate multishot, you end up with a total base status chance of 46 + 12*11.3=182% upon transforming since the incarnon form only has 1 base multishot. This means with just two 60% status mods, we can hit 182 x (1+0.6+0.6)=400.4 % status chance, i.e. guaranteed FOUR status effects per shot, before multishot. With 3 multishot we basically get TWELVE guaranteed statuses per trigger pull. At approximately 40% slash bias, we can get approximately 4 to 6 slash procs every fire.

MOD BREAKDOWN

• Primed Point Blank/Semi Shotgun Cannonade: gives base damage without requiring ramp up from merciless. Cannonade also offsets fire rate penalty from crit decel. Flexible for [Shotgun Elementalist]. If you want more fire rate youll need to use Primed Point Blank and either mod fire rate or use external fire rate sources eg arcane tempo/reinforced bond.

• Galvanized Hell: Mandatory for multishot

• Critical Deceleration: Mandatory for Crit chance, setting final CC to 144%. Blunderbuss is your alternative.

• Primed Ravage: Mandatory for Crit damage, setting final CD to 7.1. The average crit multiplier is 1+144% X (7.1-1)=9.78x. Normal Ravage or Shrapnel Shot are alternatives

• Primed Cleanse Corrupted/Grineer: MULTIPLICATIVE to primary merciless and double dips DoT like electric, blast, slash for a final 2.4015x multiplier. If you don't want to use faction swap this out for Shotgun Elementalist

• [Frigid Blast] + [Toxic Barrage]: Makes viral which boosts slash proc damage by up to 4.25x at 10 stacks, and boosts status chance by +120%. Use MAX RANKED for the status chance.

• Primed Charged Shell: procs electric which deals damage over time with no delay and has minor AOE

• Primary Merciless: This is the main source of your base damage, stacking to +360% after 12 kills

• Primary Bulwark: would be best in slot if you have sufficient armor (1500).
• Primary Crux: Great option if also using incarnoff mode alot due to ammo efficiency meaning you barely need to reload combined with Galvanized Reload , also gives both modes 300% status chance which is very useful

FLEXIBLE/ALTERNATIVES

• [Shotgun Elementalist] is next best in slot after Primed Cleanse, and is technically better than Primed Point Blank when at max stacks of Merciless
• Motus Setup provides more potential DPS than Critical Deceleration but requires you to bullet jump every 4s.
• Shotgun Savvy provides status chance which increases overall slash and viral procs, but does not boost the weighting.
• [Galvanized Savvy] gives slightly less status chance than [Shotgun Savvy], but provides +80% dmg for each status when using BASE FORM ONLY. [Galvanized Savvy] does NOT apply to the AOE of the incarnon form. You can use this if you like using both forms.
