Ember Tanky nuker | Config A

This build focuses on end game survivability by combining DR from armor with the DR from [Ember]'s 2.

Here I am using Arcane Ultimatum to guarantee and extra 1200 armor at all times. Just remember to make a finisher kill every 45 seconds and you get a base 84% DR. Combine this with the DR from your 2 and you will be between 92% and 98% DR depending on your heat level.

if you don't want to deal with the hassle of opening up finishers (from dagger stance/operator/new Bronco mod/etc.) you can use Arcane [Guardian] instead.

Use your 4 as your primary nuke the while keeping your health topped off with the healing from your 3. For the highest level content, you will also need to manage your 2.

A couple of things about your heat level, which is displayed just above your energy bar. A high level of heat is a mixed blessing. On the plus side, you will do more damage, strip a larger percent of armor, and your 3 will heal for more; but if your heat level reaches 100% your will drain energy FAST with this build due to the low duration.

You also need to be aware that casting your 4 doesn't add Heat, it adds to the Heat accumulation rate. If you case your 4 enough time your heat bar will fill almost instantaneously. On the other hand, casting your 3 will lower the heat accumulation rate. You can keep the Heat acceleration low by casting about two 3s for every 4. Unfortunately you can never lower your heat accumulation rate to 0, and heat will always build.

Many times you can't maintain this 2-to-1 ratio and will be casting 4 multiple times to clear a room. In this case, you can reset your heat by removing and recasting your shield (press 2 twice in rapid succession).

Get used to watching and listening to your shield. First, the shield glow brighter and will make a sizzling sound when you hit 100%, which mean it is time to reset your shield. Also, when recasting your shield, listen for the sound the shield make when being applied.

Be sure to have a large number of energy pizza's hot keyed as you will mess this up and need to quickly replenish your energy and hammer 3 to heal back up when you accidentally run the shield at 100% for a bit.

Note that you can switch out [Cunning Drift] for [Power Drift] to [Sacrifice] from range for power. If you are feeling frisky you would also replace Transient Fortitude for Blind Rage, just watch out ... this is a very energy intensive build.

In either case Zenurik and/or Arcane Energize are highly recommend.
