If you want to optimize your MK1 [Kunai] weapon build, you need to pay attention to your riven mod and the other mods you use. The first thing you should look for on your riven mod is multishot, as it will make you fire more kunais and increase your chances of landing critical hits. The second thing you should look for is either damage or elemental damage, depending on what main damage type you want to use.
For the other mods, you have some choices to make. One of them is the [Primed Heated Charge] mod, which adds heat damage to your weapon. You can keep this mod if you like heat damage, or you can change it to corrosive damage if your riven mod has electricity or toxin damage. Corrosive damage is very effective against armored enemies but you need a good riven roll. If you have ways of consistently stripping armor then you can use any damage type you want.
Viral damage is usually good, but in this case, you don’t need it because the [Stockpiled Blight] mod will already give you viral status effects on your enemies. Plus with a 2.5% status chance, good luck procing anything with this thing.
Also you dont really need an exilus mod.
One thing that is very important for this build is to aim for the head of your enemies. This will make a huge difference in your damage output, because the MK1 [Kunai] has a high critical chance and multiplier. Headshots will also help you activate the arcane secondary deadhead, which will boost your critical damage even more.
The last thing you need to consider is whether to use the [Hollow Point] mod or the primed faction damage mod. The [Hollow Point] mod will increase your critical damage but lower your status chance. The primed faction damage mod will increase your damage against a specific faction but cost more capacity. You can swap these mods depending on the situation, but you need to be careful about the polarities. The [Hollow Point] mod has a — polarity, while the primed faction damage mod has a V polarity. You need to match the polarity of the mod slot with the mod you are using, otherwise you will waste capacity and efficiency.
