[Octavia] build for steel path endurance
What is this build capable of?
steel path endurance that require you to achieve certain kps or single target dps, mainly for survival and disruption
Why Octavia?
Octavia has two of the ability that perfectly suit for AFK endurance
Mallet
- scale with enemy damage
- can deal with nullifier bubble
- large base radius
- long duration
Metronome
- stealth ability
- can be recast without runing out
- doesn't affect you movement
- long duration
Why Pillage over resonator?
[Octavia] have some flaw for steel path endurance, including DOT status effect from eximus, single target DPS on units that does not target mallet or simply run away, mainly demolisher and acolytes, if these units run into a mallet that already build up damage then that's good, if not you may get into some trouble.
Pillage solve both problem and is the best helminth for Octavia imo
- pillage cleanse all status effect
- pillage provide armor strip
- unlike terrify, fire blast or Tharros Strikes, pillage doesn't interrupt enemy attack or deaggro them, which increase mallet damage
- large range
Subsume Pillage over resonator
- resontar bring your mallet to place that is not optimal
- resontar sometimes break enemy aggro and reduce mallet damage
- octavia is always invisible which makes resonator useless
Why these mods and arcane?
Corrosive projection - reduce the strength requirement of pillage strip all armor of enemy in one cast to 328%
273% strength - with fully stack molt aumented to achieve the requirement of 328% ability strength
75% effiency - just enough for octavia to cast metronome, amp and mallet when full energy
augur message - bring 2 augur mod on secondary to achieve 120% energy to shield, and the first cast of pillage will spent 67.5 energy and provide 75 shield, which is exactly enough to shield gate with decaying dragon key
139% range - generally enough to cover a choke point in most of the tile set
195% duration - as high as possibly while still achieve certain break point
Playstyle?
Cast 3 to invisible, then cast 1 and 4 on choke point, cast 2 when need emergency dps or kps or need shield gating, both casting and retracting of pillage provide fully 1.3 sec shield gate.
you will want zenurik focus for operator, with zenurik you shouldn't have energy problem
Optimization?
Archon shard - red archon shard to replace [Power Drift] to any exilus you want like prime sure footed or use a higher level overextended, or just to increase the duration to make the build more relaxing
Arcane - Molt effiency for duration or energize for using other focus school for operator
Health regen to recover chip damage from Toxin or slash - operator arcane like magus repair
high single target pure damage weapon for acolytes and demolyst, kuva hek or felarx are both good primary option, Amp double dips for Exodia Contagion so any zaw will do for melee
seconday weapon - 2 augur mod
Tips
when striping armor of enemy having both shield and armor, empty the shield part of the enemy first before casting pillage
pillage's true mechanic of cleansing status effect is by giving you a very short period of status immunity(i think about 0.5sec), if cast at correct time, it can be use to counteract ability that both knock down and applied DOT status like Arson eximus's ability
if you use zenurik focus and have inner might, when inner might is active your free cast doesn't give you shield gate
stay away from your mallet to avoid AOE damage
