All-Rounder Gara

This is my personal build I've been using since forever on [Gara].

The point of this build is to suit every Gara playstyle and gamemode since she can do pretty much anything in just this one single build.


How to play

1) [Gara] has high defence with her 90% damage reduction from Splinter Storm

2) [Gara] can nuke around her by destroying her Vitrify Circle from the inside using Shattered Lash (this will deal damage based on your melee weapon in a 360% area around the circle), I call this Vitrify nuking.

3) [Gara] can stack the AOE damage of her Splinter Storm by destroying her Mass Vitrify circle from the outside while Splinter Storm is on her [this can be done infinitely and is affected by the damage of your melee weapon).

Remember that your Mass Vitrify circle gains "HP" by it touching enemies as it's formed - the higher the health of the enemy, the higher the health of your wall.

And there you have what I want a Gara to be able to do - output high AOE damage around an objective by destroying the inside of the Mass Vitrify circle - output high, and scaling AOE damage using Splinter Storm and destroying the outside of Mass Vitrify circle - and be unkillable with high damage reduction.


Choice of stats

I chose to give her 207% Duration to make Splinter Storm less annoying to constantly refresh, this can be increased with [Narrow Minded], but will [Sacrifice] the speed of creating a Mass Vitrify circle for Vitrify nuking and also decreases the AOE of your nuke, as the initial size of the circle is determined by ability range as well as the radius your nuke does damage in, and the reduced range also decreases the AOE of your Splinter Storm.

Gara has 130% Efficiency because it lets her spam out Mass Vitrify with less fear of running out of energy - letting her do the AOE damage stacking with Splinter Storm and the AOE Vitrify nuking more effectively.

She has 160% Range for faster Vitrify creation for Vitrify nuking, since the bigger the Vitrify, the bigger the area it can nuke; also helps with Splinter Storm's pitiful range. You could also go with a smaller ranged build which would make it easier to destroy the Vitrify wall from the outside, making stacking AOE damage with Splinter Storm easier.

Last but not least is 130% Strength - This is the bare minimum strength for 90% damage reduction, and will be all you need.


Alternative mods and a few extra tricks

I chose to have [Primed Flow] in there because it makes spamming her abilities so much easier, and [Adaptation] makes her literally unkillable, but they can be changed out if you see fit, for example by adding Narrow Minded, or Fleeting Expertise, or Natural Talent, or Augur Reach - playing [Gara] is all about making you comfortable with all her mechanics, so feel free to customise.

I have [Steel Charge] on there because yes! it does increase the damage of Shattered Lash, same goes for Arcane [Fury], which lets you go even more wild with her nukes.
