This is my first build, so if you do choose, cut me some slack. This is nowhere endgame worthy, but will cut through any enemies under level 80 without any issue. This was also made for newer players who don't have access to much endo nor credits as veterans may have (me).

My choice of build for this was a hybrid crit/viral setup, exploiting the great critical chance for critical multiplier.

Hammer Shot is a decent mod for this current setup, but could very easily be replaced with Split Chamber for even higher dps, although you will need one more forma and some rearrangement of mods*.

I could have went for Heavy Caliber with this, but what i found is it detracts from the great accuracy of this weapon, which allows you headshot enemies easily.

Hunter Munitions is a MUST, as the majority of the damage comes from the slash procs which does stack with viral.

The choice of Rifle Ammo Mutation was made with scarlet spear in mind, where i burnt through 1000s of rounds to kill the condrix. It is not needed, but can be useful if you are stuck in a prolonged survival, where higher level enemies will need much more ordinance thrown at them.

*However, If you are willing to forgo Vigilante armaments and the Rifle Ammo Mutation, You can put in Split Chamber into a forma'ed mod slot while moving Vital Sense out to the unforma'ed slot, yielding slightly better mulitshot at the cost of status chance WITHOUT needing extra forma.

Otherwise speaking, this is a good start that will get you through the star map. Once you have progressed from that, the foundation that this has laid will help you on your future, better builds.
