(3ish Forma) Amy's Way Too Expensive Yareli Main Build

Been a [Yareli] main since she came out, figured I'd do a quick write up now that she's gotten so buffs :3

[Yareli]'s damage seems pretty underwhelming at first, but one of the best parts about her is how powerful her damage scaling is. Riptide scales with enemies caught, [Surging Blades] damage scales with damage dealt, and Sea Snares, as of update 32.2 adds damage vulnerability, which really lets her other abilities pop off.

This loadout is mainly centered around giving her a big chunk of ability strength so you can maximize the sea snares damage bonus and ensure you can kill things with Riptide. Riptide also serves as an [Energy Generator] thanks to [Archon Flow] and Arcane Energize. Be warned that there's a weird level gap where Riptide kind of sucks at killing things, as there aren't enough enemies for its damage scaling to really kick in, but by the time you hit steel path that starts to go away, especially if they're trapped in sea snares, as there are so many more enemies.

My personal Archon Shard Loadout:
2x casting speed
2x energy orb efficiency
1x health [Regen]
These are largely up to personal preference, and admittedly the health [Regen] isn't that great, but I like it. Feel free to add more strength, casting speed, or really anything you like. Casting speed is fairly important, though, so I'd definitely recommend at least 2 of those or a [Natural Talent] in the flex slot.

Flex Slot and Customization:
[Streamline] may be unnecessary depending on what mission you're playing with, your archon shards, operator school, etc. etc... or maybe you just don't like it. [Augur Secrets] can also be swapped out for any of these if you wish. There are quite a few options that are largely up to personal preference. Here are some good ones I use sometimes

  • [Natural Talent]: Speeds up casting times so you can cast more abilities or spend more of your time firing at stuff. Pretty self explanatory

  • [Stretch]: Mainly for increasing the range of Riptide, but benefits all her abilities with the exception of Merulina. Personally, I find this unnecessary most of the time

  • Constitution/[Augur Message]: More duration means enemies are trapped longer and you keep the damage scaling from Surging Blades. Yareli really likes having a lot of duration, but I typically find Primed Continuity to be enough.

  • Survivability: You can add [Adaptation] or [Umbral Vitality] if you have trouble staying alive. I'm usually able to stay alive in Steel Path missions just using Merulina and my operator, but your mileage may vary. Umbral Vitality is a good one to swap for Augur Secrets, as it still gives a bit of a damage boost.

  • Exilus: Mostly pretty unnecessary, honestly I kind of like using [Peculiar Bloom], but obviously that doesn't really do anything. [Coaction Drift], [Cunning Drift], [Power Drift], [Speed Drift], or even the bullet jump mods are fine. Note that riding Merulina does not count as being airborne unless you are actually jumping.

-Forma: The stats are pretty flexible for the most part, so if you wanna save on forma, using normal [Intensify] is fine. Also normal or [Primed Flow] work fine, just keep in mind you lose the occasional energy orb generation.

Helminth:
All of [Yareli]'s abilities are too important to her kit to really consider removal. However, if you're determined to fit another ability in, I'd probably recommend removing Riptide. That would change this build pretty drastically though, so maybe use a different guide for that. [Yareli] could, however, benefit from a damage booster, or maybe even doubling up on damage vulnerability. You could also remove Merulina or Aqua Blades, but at that point why are you even playing the frame?

Weapons:

  • Beams: The [Gaze] and [Kuva Nukor] are fantastic choices. They're high damage, great at spreading status, easy to fire while moving, and have AoE so you can hit multiple crowd controlled enemies at once. Special shoutout to the [Kuva Nukor] for having an absurdly high critical multiplier for no reason. [Yareli] with [Primed Target Cracker] and [Pistol Gambit] can push it to around a 60% crit chance and 10x crit multiplier. The Gaze also has access to Pax Bolt, which turns fits well with the rest of her kit.

  • Crit Weapons w/ <100% Crit: [Yareli] can push a lot of pistols over that 100% crit threshold, or at least get them close. [Knell], [Vasto], [Magnus], and A LOT of other weapons fall into this category. [Yareli] can take good weapons and make them more consistent, turning them into great weapons. Something of note here, however, is that aiming while on Merulina DOES NOT count as aiming. This means that Galvanized and Hydraulic Crosshairs don't work. This is pretty unfortunate and I'd love to see it change, but isn't really the end of the world.

-[Laetum]: It's the [Laetum] (but seriously if you wanna get spicy with it, you can stand still to turn off [Yareli]'s crit buff, stack up the buffs from Overwhelming Attrition, and then crit to your heart's content with that 400% damage buff. Probably not better than a normal build, but it is fun af)

Low ability strength and weapon builds coming eventually... maybe.
