Styanax never wonders how many enemies he will face, only where he can find them. The hoplite deals high damage. Enemies tremble before his spear and shield.

This is a melee only build that I've found works surprisingly well, even in the depths of Steel Path.
Basically you go ham with your melee in order to build up attack speed and extra damage with the Arcanes, using pillage to occasionally replenish shields or purge status effects, Tharros strike to replenish health, and Axios Javelin to group enemies. Of course keep Rally point up at all times.
You can use pretty much any melee build you like as long as it hits some CC. You can also replace [Fury] on the melee with [Reach] because you'll have more than enough attack speed from Arcane Fury and that extra reach is pretty nice to have.
