Disc duration is based on combo meter.

Disc aura dps is heightened by combo meter, Acolyte mods such as [Blood Rush] and [Weeping Wounds] work on disc aura.

[Condition Overload] DOES NOT enhance disc aura dps, only attacks swung from the melee itself. [Primed Pressure Point] recommended.

Warframe abilities affect the disc aura even after the disc had been launched from the melee weapon (ie. Venom Dose, Toxic Lash, Silence, Prowl, Radial Blind/Howl etc.).

Modding Zenistar for Quickening/[True Punishment] to boost your combo meter is highly recommended.

Magus Anomaly’s (Tenno Arcane) [Vacuum] is highly beneficial to keep enemies within the vicinity of the disc aura so that you can ramp up those status procs.

[Zenistar] unfortunately has succumbed to being a niche weapon. However, it’s still somewhat functional. Not to the point where its dps is better than other melee, but it’s a thing.

If you want a longer disc duration without actually using Melee to hit enemies to build the combo:

[Corrupt Charge] will bring you to 2x Combo for consistent 20 second disc duration.

Pair with a Riven rolled for + initial combo to get 3x Combo for consistent 30 sec disc duration.

That gets you closer to utility of Disc.

Mod for pure heat, to refresh heat over and over, which will cc the enemies

A Corrosive modded [Pox] and a Gas modded [Zenistar] (with say, Primed Fever Striked, to buff the DoT damage) + Bane Mod iis very good synergy

As for duration, use a riven with +Initial Combo; add a Corrupt Charge on top of that for even more initial combo

Mods: Primed Fury / Primed Reach / Quickening / Drifting Contact / Corrupt Charge / Initial Combo Riven / Molten Impact / Volcanic Edge

Performing a heavy attack with the [Zenistar] equipped launches the disc a distance of 9 meters in the direction of the reticle. Whilst the disc is a projectile, it will deal 75 Impact damage on contact and 350 Heat damage when it explodes. Once it lands, it projects an aura with a 4 meter radius, dealing 50 Heat damage with 50% status chance every 0.8 seconds.


Elemental mods will affect the disc's damage as normal, creating combination elements such as Blast or Radiation. Heat damage is added last unless a Heat mod is added.

While the disc is out and if a heat mod is not added, but another element is, then the standard attacks will gain that element instead of the combination one, allowing for unique combinations such as Blast on AoE and Cold on standard attacks (along with the regular physical damage).


Works with disc:

Disc Radius affected by (Primed) Reach and Range Riven Mods

Status Chance of Aura is affected by status mods

Attack Speed of disc is affected by bonuses such as (Primed) Fury, Arcane Strike, Warcry and Speed

Disc can trigger Berserker but it's speed is not affected by it, only the handle (melee in hand) is affected by it

Disc will apply damage multiplier from Stealth Attacks (Invisible, [Hydroid] Undertow, [Wukong] Cloud Walker)

*Enemies who are dealt bonus stealth damage when in Undertow130xDark Undertow or CloudWalker130xDark Cloud Walker may continue to receive this bonus damage even when leaving the ability. This is especially true when it is built for blast damage, for whatever reason.

Kills by disc will add time to [Valkyr]'s Eternal War augment

Damage buffs such as [Rhino]'s Roar will only affect the disc's damage as long as the buff is active

Disc will be attracted to [Mag]'s Magnetize if the disc makes contact with it

Disc aura effect will damage Nullifier Crewman bubbles

Disc works with [Ivara] Navigator

[Mirage]'s Hall Of Mirrors' holograms will throw up to 4 additional discs, will expire should the ability expire

Blood Rush and Gladiator mod set buff will affect the disk's aura (basically, use your melee handle-melee in hand to increase your combo multiplier, which will in turn increase your disc aura's crit chance)


Mods that don't work with disc:

Life Strike will only heal the player while the heavy attack animation that retrieves the disk is playing

Recurring damage via disc's aura doesnt proc Healing Return

Disc aura's hits will not count toward the combo meter and it also does not benefit from the combo damage multiplier

Disc aura will not add time to allies affected by [Valkyr]'s Eternal War augment, however the handle (melee in hand) itself will

The initial 9 meter launch distance is unaffected by [Zephyr]'s Jet Stream

[Titania]'s Beguiling Lantern bonus melee damage doesnt affect [Zenistar]'s disc aura

Killing Blow doesnt affect damage of the disk aura, however it does increase the inital damage on contact and the ending explosion of the disk

Using that disc to control an area and setup [Condition Overload]

Heavy Slamming down into that area

We are using heavy slams instead of heavy attacks because heavy attacks would sent the disc back

Focus Energy - Weapon Mod + Inner Might - Zenurik Passive

Seismic Wave - Weapon Mod

Heavy attack relies on crit usually but on Zen crit isn't really an option, thus we're taking the crowd control route
