Rhino Prime - Iron Ward

This build is centered around 2 main features: First, using the combo of Arcane Tanker --> 4-Elemental Ward --> 1-Ironclad Charge --> 2-Ironskin. That combo can easily net 200K+ Ironskin health, meaning tanking through the Steel Path is possible. The second is using a Zaw with Exodia Brave and 3-Roar to easily farm energy, letting [Rhino] power through even the Steel Path. This is the easiest set up for what is likely the best Rhino build possible right now.

Recommended Equipment Loadout

Mod Analysis

  • Umbral Mods - See bellow for an option to save the umbral forma, however this does keep you safer until Iron Skin gets up -or- you mess up a jump and lose it from falling into the void.
  • Blind Rage + Transient Fortitude - high ability strength multiplies your ironskin to insanely high levels.
  • Streamline - Even with this there are going to be energy issues pulling off this combo, relying on the Dokrahm builds energy regen.
  • Ironclad Charge - This mod will give you a 1000+% armor if you hit a nice group of enemies since it benefits from ability strength.
  • Iron Shrapnel - this is equipped just for the flexibility it provides.
  • Endurance Drift - Allows enough energy storage to use 4-Elemental Ward + 1-Ironclad Charge + 2-Ironskin
  • Corrosive Projection - this can remove hundreds of thousands of effective health off steal path enemies. Really essential

Arcane Analysis

  • Arcane Tanker - this gives a flat bonus that then gets multiplied by everything else, leading to incredibly high ironskin numbers
  • Arcane Fury - The Steel path sets a bench mark is a Lv. 175 Elite Lancer, something you need to kill in droves. With Roar active, the benefit of Corrosive Projection, this arcane and using the zaw this build gets past that barrier, meaning you can one-shot enemies and gain infinite energy from Exodia Brave.

Helminth Infusion - Elemental Ward

  • Armor - 497% armor that is then MULTIPLIED by Ironclad Charge is going to lead to laughably huge amounts of Ironskin
  • Reflection - Being able to [Reflect] damage back at 26x the strength with roar active means it will actually hurt enemies.

Archon Shards

  • 5 x Tauforged Crimson Archon Shard (Ability Strength) - [Reach] just under 400% ability strength!
  • Option: use 1 Tauforged Azure Archon Shard (Energy Max) then swap [Endurance Drift] for [Power Drift]. This is as good as a Tauforged Crimson Archon Shard (Ability Strength) AND gives more energy.

Alterations

There are a few modifications you can make to the build and that don't necessarily enhance it's goals but can be convenient.

  • Save an Umbral Forma: if you get a Rank 0 [Umbral Vitality] from Simaris, you can use it as an effective 22% Ability Strength and 55% Armor mod. This lets you also use a max Rank Iron Shrapnel, though that doesn’t really have a huge impact.
  • Parasitic Armor vs Elemental Ward - by swapping the umbral mods for [Redirection], [Augur Secrets] and [Umbral Intensify] does yield an Iron Skin number a bit higher, though you are rediculously squishy until it gets up. Also, the cold procs and damage from Elemental ward make the Iron Skin a lot more effective. Still, the option is there.
