Glaive Prime

Throwing - The Best Glaive Prime Build.

The Glaive Prime is a deadly and beautiful weapon from the Orokin era. The blades are as effective in close quarters as they are when thrown at distant enemies.

Throwing - The Best Glaive Prime Build.

The actual best glaive you will find on here.
200-300k regular orange crits (on full charge)
500k+ red crits.

[Volatile Quick Return]

To start, I'm going to address something important, [Volatile Quick Return].
In my opinion it has absolutely no place on glaives.
If you look at any build for the glaive prime you will see it consists of 5 important mods

  • Sacrificial Steel
  • Primed Pressure point
  • Amalgam Organ Shatter
  • Killing Blow
  • [Corrupt Charge]
This leaves you with 3 slots to change, 2 of which you should use on viral.
I prefer running [Primed Fever Strike] and [North Wind], however you can run the 60 60 mods if you want a more consistent build.
This brings me back to [Volatile Quick Return], with only one slot left it just does not deserve it.
There are multiple mods that you can run in that last slot that would be a better fit
  • Prime Race Mod
  • Gladiator Might
  • Molten Impact (leaves you with a very inconstant but funny build)
  • [Condition Overload]
Point being, VQR just does not pack the punch required to take that last slot.

TLDR; Don't run [Volatile Quick Return]

Substitution Mods

Unfortunately due to the nature of glaive building there is not much that can be substituted.
However there is a short list that I will show here.

  • Primed Fever Strike/North wind can be subbed for their 60/60 mods. I find this to be a more consistent however lower peak damage build.
  • Gladiator Might has a few subs that I listed in the VQR section. It would be the first mod to sub if you had a riven.
  • And a personal sub I use is switching [Gladiator Might] for [Life Strike], granting this build easy livability.
