Heavy in the hand with a bone-crunching kickback. This Prime version of this shotgun adds remote detonation of the weapon's airburst round.

Personal general purpose Corinth Prime build
With the ammo rework I find myself relying on the good old shotgun more often. The weapon's alternate fire isn't quite as dominating as the high critical explosive weapons, but it is still quite useful for locking down tight crowds of enemies quickly at most ranges. After one or two air bursts you should follow up with the buckshot primary fire, which is excellent overall.
The advantage of building for electric damage is the amount of additional crowd control it offers, even against level 200 Steel Path enemies. You lose out against some high level enemies in alloy armor, but the weapon's innate puncture still performs well, and everything else in the game takes good damage from electricity. You can easily cover this weakness with your secondary or your melee.
Having both fire modes is the real draw of the [Corinth Prime], which is why I don't like using projectile speed mods on it, despite the extra advantage it gives to primary fire.
