Jack’s Good Ol’ Mutalist

You’re probably thinking “But Jack, why would I use [Mutalist Cernos]”. First, this weapon is easy to get, secondly this weapon packs one hell of a punch. I mean as long as u have [Split Flights], you’re already ahead in terms of damage compared to most bows. What this weapons does is that I can constantly trigger that on hit, more multishot with the toxic cloud it emits. Thirdly, this weapon just works, and if you invest all that Endo on this weapon, it’s worth it either way, cause most of these mods are applicable on most builds. Also, you only need to to use quick fire, still does 300k plus damage, and sometimes over a million.

You’re probably also seeing that I’m using a riven, but the one I’m using is nothing special, as long as u have crit damage and some sort of kinetic or elemental damage you’re good. And if you don’t have the riven, it’s cheap on market/trading. The roll is also not that uncommon. I means switch out status chance on mine for crit and boom, you’ve doubled mines damage.

I recommend this weapon for any beginner/early game player, even mid-late to late game players. I mean I’m writing this just after playing Steel Path Void, Mot by myself for over an hour. With no buffs on my weapon, the only thing this weapons lacks is that godly AoE that Kuva Bramma, Amprex, Ignis etc has. But it still one-shots most enemies, even on steel path, few exceptions are Heavy gunner and some corrupted (on Steel Path), but those guys you can just mercy kill, and it’s easier with this weapon cause it build impact like a monster (can mercy kill/“finisher” earlier with more impact stacks).

If the AoE becomes a problem (most of the time is doesn’t cause it still has AoE), I mostly use [Nidus] larva. I also recommend getting the habit of using melee i combination with this weapon, with the mod [Condition Overload] with as high crit and raw damage as possible, because u don’t need status cause Mutalist will easily proc multiple statuses and 10x Viral. You will easily kill acolytes on steel path.

If you don’t have a riven, a I recommend using [Speed Trigger], or a Kinetic (impact like [Crash Course]) or elemental damage mod. You’ll most likely be confused by the damage on The Mutalist, cause the in game numbers for the damage are kinda bugged, it shows the damage of the cloud plus some of the damage per arrow, but in reality it’s way higher. I’ve been using this website to check the actual damage for a while now. Mine does like 300k damage per shot and I only use quick fire. Image a god rolled riven, I’m drooling.

Alternatives: [Internal Bleeding] instead of [Heavy Caliber]
[Vile Acceleration] or [Speed Trigger] instead of Riven
[High Voltage] or [Thermite Rounds] instead of [Galvanized Aptitude]

Hope this guide as been informative and useful, atleast somewhat enjoyable for Beginners and masters, gg, ty and take care.

With kind regards// JackDWR (on ps)

Ps. If you wanna see this builds true damage, enable Apply Conditionals, under Orikin reactor and above accuracy on the stat thing :)
