Styanax never wonders how many enemies he will face, only where he can find them. The hoplite deals high damage. Enemies tremble before his spear and shield.

Gigachad Gladiator

[Styanax] is a very fun frame with a lot of unique utility really making him a powerhouse. I know this isn't a 100% Tharros Strike build but this is suited for all around play, revolving around making all of his skills shine in combat.

Overview of the Build/Mods:

With this build I wanted to try out utilizing everything down the passive with the shield boosting critical chance, hence why we see things like [Redirection] in here. [Boreal's Hatred] is also a good combo with [Fleeting Expertise] to get the efficiency cap at 175%. [Natural Talent] honestly a must have for me on [Styanax] because it makes his casting more fluid and combo cleaner with the other abilities. With such low efficiency like this we can use things like Rally Point to spend about 19 energy to gain roughly 5 energy every second for a total of 145 energy over the entire duration.

The outlier here might be [Aviator] in the Exilus but I found his Final Stand puts him in the most vulnerable position especially in Steel Path missions. [Aviator] combined with [Boreal's Hatred] it really reduces the damage you take while Airborne and along with [Brief Respite] you can sustain damage, I find this given duration to be a healthy amount of time in the air as you are left vulnerable and can dish out damage decently enough. You can currently as of now perform other abilities while you use [Umbral Intensify] and [Umbral Vitality] are a nice pair to bring in to bring some extra damage and Health into the build.

Arcanes here can be whatever you'd like but I prefer these as Barrier is a nice little way to boost shields back up to compliment [Brief Respite] in the absence of shield gating and
Arcane [Guardian] is also nice to add extra sustain into the build. Energize I don't find necessary because efficiency is already at the cap.

Mod Substitutions:

You could go many different ways with this build, but to stay true to the nature of this build you could opt [Umbral Fiber] instead of [Umbral Intensify] for a little more damage reduction although it probably won't be necessary because of Arcane [Guardian]. [Aerodynamic] in the aura would be another alternative if you choose to go the Final Stand damage reduction route but then you would need [Augur Message] to make up for lack of [Brief Respite] so you have some type of shield gain on cast. [Aviator] could be swapped out with [Power Drift] for a little extra strength and knockdown or [Primed Sure Footed] if you swap out some mods too. Instead of Adaptation you could also opt for Rolling Guard if you're needing the invulnerability time.

Closing Notes:

Overall this fast paced Gladiator can do it all on the battlefield and really stands out as a unique frame to use in the current state of the game. If you're looking for a break from shield gating with Decaying Dragon Key, then I'd recommend giving him a try.
