Ivara P - Kurel's BOOM HEADSHOT

cue obligatory meme sound bite

An aug4 Ivara build designed to go hand-in-hand with the Brain Box Ventilator build for lots of brain giblets.

2 forma (1V 1-) + Aura.

Note that [Concentrated Arrow] explosions have no falloff and go through walls. With just this build, Conc Arrow will have 18.55m radius; you can get another 4.62m radius by using PFirestorm on [Artemis Bow].

Stat priority

  1. Range, but it's okay to drop a mod or two since PFirestorm gives us some extra.
  2. Strength, to make sure stuff actually dies when you blow it up.
  3. Efficiency, to make your other abilities cheap to cast.
  4. Duration, a dump stat as long as your Sleep Arrow and Condemn last long enough for you to line up a shot.

Why choose these mods/arcanes?

  • Concentrated Arrow -- The primary focus of this build. Make enemies stop moving for a moment via Sleep Arrow or Condemn, shoot them in the head while they're stopped, brain box goes boom.
  • Condemn -- Condemn gives us a nice extra way of immobilizing enemies, plus helps maximize Molt Efficiency uptime.
    • Deciding whether to replace Navigator or Prowl is ultimately a matter of personal preference.
    • I typically end up using neither of them, because I'd rather just spam more shots.
    • That being said, if I absolutely must use one, I prefer to use Prowl since the energy drain is much slower.
  • Molt Efficiency -- Duration might be the dump stat, but you can't drop it too low. I've found that around 50% duration is the sweet spot: too short and you can't reliably line up a headshot, too long and you're wasting mod slots. A combination of Transient Fortitude, Fleeting Expertise, and Molt Efficiency leaves you at 48.5% duration, which is basically perfect.
  • Energy Siphon -- In general, it's a bad aura. In this case however, it means you can spam arrows and Condemn to your heart's content and not worry about running out of energy.

Variants

Cunning Drift -- Replaces [Power Drift]. For people who want to squeeze every last bit of explosion radius out of the build as possible. This gives an extra 1.05m radius.

Augur Secrets -- Replaces Augur Reach. For people who want to squeeze a bit more damage out of the build.

Growing Power -- Replaces [Energy Siphon]. For people who want to squeeze even more damage out of the build, at the cost of needing to place your arrows and Condemn a bit more carefully.

Eclipse -- Replaces Condemn. Just in case you want even more damage.

How to play this build

Before activating [Artemis Bow], make sure any strength buffs you can get are activated: [Growing Power], [Energy Conversion], Molt Augmented, Operator focus, etc.

Set Quiver to Sleep Arrow. You'll be using it extensively. You can use it without the annoying charge up by using the alt-fire button while wielding [Artemis Bow].

  1. Immobilize an enemy using Sleep Arrow or Condemn.
  2. BOOM HEADSHOT
  3. I mean... MAH HEART'S BEATIN', MAH HEART'S BEATIN', MAH HANDS ARE SHAKIN', MAH HANDS ARE SHAKIN', BUT AH'M STILL SHOOTIN', AH'M STILL REPEATING FROM THE TOP
