The Felarx invokes ancient times when aristocrats hunted game. For ceremonies, Orokin elites bred creatures reminiscent of game birds to reanimate cultural myths. They gave the Zariman crew Felarx and a brace of birds as a sign of acceptance into elite society. The brace of birds becomes a pair of pistols at the hands of the Void.

Ideal Felarx w/ Savvy

Key evolutions:

E3 - 50% reload/sec on holster. Alternatively, Fire Rate on reload.
E4 - +SC -CC
E5 - Devastating Attrition.

Mods

  • Viral is preferred to corrosive for more universal proc and more consistent damage. Projectile weapon means that projectiles in a single shot will prime each other in the sequence they strike.
  • With the FR on Reload perk, you can replace [Shotgun Barrage] with [Primed Tactical Pump], however this setup has an inferior sdps of ~0.8x. It is also susceptible to interruption which requires a full unload and reload again to restore the bonus.
  • [Galvanized Savvy]'s current multiplying nature is the sole saving grace for the weapon. While [Felarx] is easily one of the strongest if not the most powerful shotgun, it would pale to Laetum and Phenmor if savvy worked as intended (additive) due to shotgun status division from Warframe Revised.
  • Primed Point Blank is the most flexible mod, I'd replace it with a Faction mod first or a Riven
  • [Blaze] is flexible with Primed Electric, but the light heat proc is preferred for the mild armor reduction. Electric has +9% more raw damage but is inferior against armor.
  • I tried several other mods instead of [Primed Ammo Stock], but it consistently came out on top to be best in its slot. Since holster reload is percent based, it also lets more bullets recover after each quick melee.
  • Since reload mods are not needed, Deadhead provides the best value for its slot. It is extra viable thanks to status damage being useless on this weapon.

Notes

  • The shotgun form has infinite punch through on bodies, so the punch through Evolution is not necessary.
  • Incarnon form is passable. It has excellent range for a Plasmor-like projectile and okay damage, but suffers from half the rate of fire as the primary attack and less damage per shot.
  • Innate slash has such a poor status chance that not worth pursuing.

Riven Guide

  • A -50% or higher Critical Chance curse will multiply the dps by ~1.2x.
  • Preferred buffs are MS, Dmg, Element (Tox, Heat), Fire Rate, and Faction as always.
