Ambassador Corrosive Setup + Ideal Riven Recommendations

The Ambassador is one of my favorite guns, sounds awesome, looks awesome, and feels awesome to use. This is a simple, albeit forma-heavy, setup for the [Ambassador]. If you don.t have a riven, or the stats are too low, I recommend adding a reload mod, or another elemental mod. Keep in mind, depending on the polarity of your riven, you may need to reforma to get an alternative. And do not be afraid to put a reload mod instead, as the QOL increase in enormous

For a [Hunter Munitions] setup, it's the same build, but instead of [Heavy Caliber] you can slot a bane mod, or if you want to keep the riven in you can fit the [Hunter Munitions] there. You can also slot Aptitude instead of the riven if it is specialized into one elemental combo, this is why a D riven is ideal. I do recommend primary merciless as it fixes a majority of the weapons issues, namely that awful reload. This corrosive setup does work with the alt fire, and that does absolutely [Shred]. If you want to use Viral Slash, i don't really recommend the alt fire, as it doesn't have the raw damage to get the one shot anymore. Also, [Critical Delay] heavily hurts the weapon's dps, and as such I do not really recommend it. And since this weapon is quite endo heavy, feel free to leave a few from the top. No more than three, as from then on the endo costs are ridiculous. As a bonus, leaving some from the top allows three extra mod capacity, which can be very useful as options.

I do highly highly recommend rivens, as they elevate the gun dramtically with the right roll. For a riven recommendation, obviously crit chance would be insanely beneficial, with multishot and a potential for a third buff would be crit damage. The ideal negative is minus zoom, as the weapon can be a bit zoomy at times. An alternative, and arguably better riven, would be a utility riven. For that, ideally it would be +reload, +multishot, and at least negative zoom. The multishot isn't super necessary, but it is a nice damage increase. But for utility, reload is a must. You could also go with a riven that has toxin, to swap a bit more easily, or one with a built in elemental combo. Toxin may be the more ideal utility riven, should you not care about the status chance loss. Overall, I highly recommend the weapon, although there are better options, such as the [Quellor], [Stahlta], or the [Trumna]. However, this weapon is by no means bad, and the feel makes up for its downfalls. Give it a shot, I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do, and it's now my most used weapon. Enjoy!
