Garuda - Focus Farming & Normal Circuit

ALL MY BUILDS FOCUS ON USING UNDEAD-THEMED WARFRAMES WITH WEAPONS FITTING THEIR THEMES. THEY MAY NOT BE THE ABSOLUTE BEST OPTION FOR IT, BUT I STILL MAKE SURE THEY'RE MORE THAN VIABLE ENOUGH.

[Garuda Prime] represents the Vampire.

INTRODUCTION

The main focus of this build is to nuke things in Elite Sanctuary Onslaught as fast as possible, be it to get ESO rewards, nightwave kills, focus farming, or level up companions. To do so we follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you invert Gauss' ability on Options -> Invert Tap/Hold Abilities (Do it on both keyboard/mouse and controller settings). That way you'll only have to Tap Thermal Sunder to do heat damage. Also make sure you have a lens equipped on your warframe if you're focus farming. When it comes to lenses:
Lua Lenses are technically the best, but they're only a reward for Lua Disruption rotation C and you have to craft them, so they're not really worth the trouble.
Eidolon Lenses are the second best, and the difference between them and Lua Lenses is only 29%. You can get them from Bird-3 after maxing out your standing at Cavia.
Greater Lenses are the third best choice, and the easiest to get. They're random rewards on Zariman Tier 3-5 bounties. They're substantially inferior to Eidolon Lenses, however.
Regular Lenses are your last resort if you don't have access to the Zariman or max Cavia standing. They're a reward for Cetus bounties, but honestly they're not worth it most of the time.

  2. Enter the portal to get to a new sanctuary zone.

  3. Cast Bloodletting to fill up your energy.

  4. Spam cast Thermal Sunder to kill everything around you, and re-cast Bloodletting to fill up your energy whenever needed.

  5. When an enemy with a bubble appears and stops your from killing a group of enemies use your primary weapon to quickly dispatch them or pop the bubble.

  6. When the timer runs out go back to point 2 and repeat.

―――――――――――――――――――――—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

On top of that, if you happen to get this frame as an option for the regular Circuit you can easily steamroll through it all. If you happen to get her then:

  1. Make sure you don't select any decrees that increase ability efficiency or let you cast with no cost, since they'll disrupt your shield gating. Also don't choose a melee weapon unless it's better than your Prime [Talons].

  2. Enter the portal to and start the mission. For Defense, Survival, and Excavation just spam Thermal Sunder and do whatever else is needed from time to time. For Void Flood cast Thermal Sunder whenever you need to refill your shields and just collect vitoplast to fill the ruptures.

  3. For Assasination missions [Rush] to the jackal area, cast Seeking Talons and hit the legs and do the fight as normal. Thermal Sunder easily gets rid of the enemies in the second and third phases.

  4. Repeat until you're done with the circuit. Usually you can go up to level 2000 or so before things become complicated.

BUILD SPECIFICS

FOCUS SCHOOL

We can use any school for this build. Below I'll show the most useful schools with their most important nodes.

  • Madurai - Power Transfer: This gives us +50% casting speed for 20 seconds whenever we swap in and out of operator mode. It's a great option if you don't have enough archon shards yet.
  • Naramon - Affinity Spike: This gives us a bit of extra affinity when we need to kill an enemy with a bubble using our exalted weapon. It's also good for levelling up weapons.

ARCHON SHARDS

  • Amber Archon Shard:
+37.5% Casting Speed x3. You're gonna be spamming abilities non-stop, so you want to be as fast as possible. Since we're not using [Natural Talent] we have a base 100% cast speed, and if we add shards we have we end up with a 212.5% cast speed, or around twice as fast.

The last two shard slots are a free choice. Here's some options:

  • Crimson Archon Shards (+15% Ability Strength x2): This makes Seeking Talons give your weapons a 100% slash chance, while also providing a small buff to Thermal Sunder. (This is the option I chose for this build)
  • Amber Archon Shards (+37.5% Casting Speed x2): If you want EVEN MORE cast speed to truly be a machinegun of heat. Keep in mind, after a certain point you'll cast so fast that Simaris will lock up your ability.
  • Azure Archon Shards (+75 Energy Max x2): This lets us cast Thermal Sunder way more often, which is a nice quality of life choice.

STATS:

  • STRENGTH: We use [Power Drift], [Transient Fortitude], Molt Augmented, and two archon shards. We want a decent amount of strength for Thermal Sunder's damage, but that's not what we should focus on, since we'll spam casts and they'll stack and multiply each other up to 10x anyway, which is enough for all but the tankiest enemies even up to steel path.
Our current setup also makes sure we have 100% slash procs for Seeking Talons just in case we want to combine the two.

  • DURATION: We don't use any duration mods. The only thing we care about is that our status duration on Thermal Sunder isn't too bad. At 72.5% duration our heat procs will last for 4.35 seconds, which is way more than enough, considering the timer will reset whenever we cast our ability again.

  • RANGE: We use [Overextended], [Stretch], and [Augur Reach]. We want as much range as possible to affect as many enemies as possible with Thermal Sunder. Simple enough. The more range we have, the more enemies we can nuke. We make up for the ability strength loss from [Overextended] with Molt Augmented eventually.

  • EFFICIENCY/ENERGY: We use [Primed Flow], [Streamline], and Molt Reconstruct. At 130% efficiency we fill up 57% of our energy per cast of Bloodletting, which means 521 energy per cast which would be 14 casts of Thermal Sunder, with 31 extra energy that slowly accumulates. Because of that you don't really need any mods, arcanes, or schools that focus on energy recovery. Molt Reconstruct heals us whenever we cast abilities, effectively filling up our health to use Bloodletting again.

LOADOUT:

  • PRIMARY: We use the Trumna. This weapon has a decent fire rate when modded, so it can help pop the nullifier bubbles whenever you need it to. If you charge it up the explosion can deal with huge groups as well.
I chose this weapon thematically because it siphons life essence to charge itself, just like how a vampire would with blood.

  • SECONDARY: We use the Despair. Honestly there's not much of a need for any secondary, so you can use whatever you want here. The only important thing is that you put two augur mods for more shield recovery.
I chose this weapon thematically because sharp throwing knives are the perfect way to draw out blood.

  • MELEE: We use the Prime Talons. This is the perfect weapon for [Garuda Prime], and comes with her, so why not use it? Can proc slash on heavy attack and her light attack can kill enemies quite easily, so it's the best way to kill enemies at close range if they can't die fast to Thermal Sunder or have bubbles preventing other enemies from being affected.
I chose this weapon thematically because of the blood frenzy it causes, slashing and drawing blood on every strike.

  • COMPANION: We use Wyrm Prime. It helps us [Negate] status effects that'd knock us down and buff our weapons so that we can pop bubbles faster. You could use a [Smeeta Kavat] for the chance at double affinity, but it's so incredibly unreliable I don't find it worth it.

GAMEPLAY ELEMENTS:

  • SHIELD GATING: We use [Brief Respite], [Augur Reach], and both [Augur Pact] and [Augur Seeker] on our secondary. Since the ability we'll use the most will be Thermal Sunder this will give us 35 (1.5 + (0.4 4) = 108.5 energy per cast, helping us build up energy fast enough.
The reason why we want shield recharge is because of how shield gating works. when your shields are depleted you gain invulnerability depending on how much shields you had before it went down to 0. the calculation depends on how many shields you have. If you have more than 53 it's ((Current Shields/350) ^ 0.65) + 1/3. With our current setup we get ((155/350) ^ 0.65) + 1/3 = 0.92 seconds of invincibility. at full shields it'd be ((370/350) ^ 0.65) + 1/3 = 1.37 seconds of invicibility. And if we build up shields to go over 1150 or more we'll end up with 2.5 seconds of invincibility. Most of the times your overshields will go over the max fron how often you cast thermal sunder and how most enemies won't even get close enough to harm you.

  • AUGMENT: We could count [Archon Vitality] as one. [Archon Vitality] is a must have, effectively doubling our heat stacks with each ability cast, which in turn increases our damage way, way faster. If you want to use this build for other missions besides ESO you can also replace [Streamline] with [Blending Talons] to be able to use Seeking Talons efficiently, but you'd have to cast Bloodletting way more often.

  • SURVIVABILITY: We use Molt Reconstruct. Seeking Talons provides invincibility when cast if so needed. Bloodletting also clears status effects and [Wyrm Prime] will [Negate] the ones like knockdown that get can't get rid of, so we don't really need any of the usual mods like [Primed Sure Footed] or [Rolling Guard]. Molt Reconstruct will keep healing us the more we cast our skill, so we'll always have enough health for Bloodletting. We don't really need anything else since we'd constantly be shield gating with an immense cast speed.

BONUS BUILD - 0 FORMA OPTION

So, if you want to test this build but are too worried that you won't like it and will waste forma on it, here's a 0 forma version of the build for you to test. 0 Forma builds always have compromises, but I try to make them as close to the original to give an accurrate representation when testing.

MOD CHANGES:

And that's it! Besides the aura mod all the mods are exactly the same, just in different spots since we can't change polarity positions with 0 forma. While it'll take much longer to refill our shields, it's still a pretty good alternative that keeps the same amount of power as the original.
