NOTE: DUE TO HOW OVERFRAME SHOWS COMPANIONS THE MOD POSITIONS MIGHT LOOK DIFFERENT THAN HOW THEY DO IN-GAME. THIS USUALLY DOESN'T MATTER, BUT FOR THINGS LIKE SENTINELS THE ORDER WHERE YOU MOD STUFF IS IMPORTANT. HERE'S HOW I MOD THIS SPECIFIC SETTING.

INTRODUCTION

The main focus of this build is to get a companion that can give meaningful support in every way possible. With this setup we get the usual benefits of a companion, plus the viral spread of the Panzer Vulvaphyla and a few weapon buffs thanks to the bond mods.

BUILD SPECIFICS

SURVIVABILITY

• SHIELDS: We use Calculated Redirection. We don't really use this mod for the shields, however, but to fulfil a requirement for Reinforced Bond.
• RESURRECTION: We use [Panzer Devolution]. [Panzer Devolution] automatically returns your vulvaphyla to larval stage and respawns it after 30 seconds, so we don't really need to worry about any other survivability mod on our companion.

SUPPORT

• DAMAGE: We use [Viral Quills], [Panzer Devolution], Reinforced Bond, Tenacious Bond, Bite, and Tandem Bond. the first two act basically like a mini Saryn, spreading spores/quills all over enemies. Both of these mods also have the best status effect for support, being viral. At 1 stack of viral you effectively double your damage against health, so even if you don't have full stacks you'd benefit greatly from it. In my experience the viral tends to spread rather nicely.
  [Reinforced Bond] increases fire rate on all your weapons by 60% if your companion's shields are over 1200, which [Calculated Redirection] helps us get. On top of that it gives 150 overshields to your companion whenever you reload, effectively helping you shield gate them, in a way.
  [Tenacious Bond] gives us a flat +1.2x crit damage to all your weapons if your companion's critical chance is over 50%, which is why we use a rank 4 [Bite].
  If you cannot get [Bite] and have a primary weapon with over 100% critical chance then you can use [Hunter Synergy] as an alternative. The only difference between it and rank 4 [Bite] is that [Bite] works regardless of what your primary's critical chance is.
  [Tandem Bond] helps you by passively building up melee combo, so you'll get to max combo faster than usual, and it keeps your combo count up even after you switch to your other weapons for a bit in a crowd.
• HEALTH/ENERGY: We use [Martyr Symbiosis]. Martyr Symbiosis effectively works as health gating, returning your pet to its larval state in exchange for saving you.
• LOOT: We use [Animal Instinct] and [Fetch]. They're pretty self explanatory, and basically the mods everyone wants on their companion. Being able to see more loot, more enemies, and collect the drops around you instantly you are the most important things when playing a fast game like warframe. If you want to use [Primed Animal Instinct] you'll have to add a forma, however.

POLARITIES

Should use either Desus Antigen or Plagen Antigen for Vazarin or Naramon polarities, then get the one you didn't choose when upgrading it.
