Speedrun Tank Wukong - Melee Beatdown, great for RJ

This is my go-to Wukong build for general-purpose missions and sorties, as well as my favorite Railjack build, at least when I plan to be the one doing the boarding.

[Wukong]'s Cloud Walker is a very effective way to speedrun missions and also a great way to blitz stealth missions. In addition, its healing and instant invulnerability make [Wukong] nearly unkillable when combined with [Rage] or [Hunter Adrenaline]. Thus, I go with very high duration here in order to fly for long periods of time, as well as boosted sprint speed in order to fly faster.

This build focuses on 4 things. To get the best use out of Cloud Walker, I've built a lot of duration and sprint speed. This also significantly increases the duration of Defy's armor buff. The range loss isn't significant, and we don't need extra strength, since the base healing on Cloud Walker is sufficient and the armor buff should easily cap out at 1500 (which doesn't scale with strength) against mid-high level enemies. Next I pumped up [Wukong]'s durability with two Umbral mods and two from the Gladiator set, which provides a solid buff to [Wukong]'s melees.

This build specializes in two things:
1. [Wukong]'s innate tankiness, combined with the Gladiator set, allows you to faceroll even high level enemies with a strong melee fairly easily. Give your Twin a high status gun to help proc [Condition Overload] (I usually use Kuva Nukor for this), and you can clear rooms in seconds.

  1. The speed and duration of the cloud let you blitz through Spy/Rescue/Capture/etc. at breakneck speeds, and its ability to ignore lasers is very useful. I've found this particularly handy in Railjack, where [Wukong] can fly through enemy bases and quickly dispatch the objectives. He can use his Twin as a decoy while hacking, and even activating his passive doesn't cancel a hack.

What this build DOESN'T do:

It's not a max-EHP uber-tank build (for that you'd slot in [Adaptation] and a different Exilus mod, among other things). That being said, with the ability to become invincible and restore his HP with one button press, [Wukong] doesn't need that level of raw EHP.

Although you can freely use [Wukong]'s [Iron Staff] with this build, it's not built around it, since it doesn't have the [Primal Rage] augment or any bonus Strength. Thus, you won't see huge damage numbers from his exalted weapon.

Arcanes:

Since this build already has very high (2400 with a full Defy) armor and easy health [Regen], the two most obvious defensive arcanes, Grace and [Guardian], don't increase your survivability by that much. Thus, I suggest going with two offensive ones. [Fury] is a natural for the substantial melee bonus damage, and I like Avenger for the crit buff which you can basically permanently maintain, and also synergizes extremely well with my [Nukor]. You could also try Arcane Strike to free up a mod slot on your melee, which would usually be spent on Berserker or [Fury].
