High-Energy Lasers/Shields

So you think [Caliban]'s another [Yareli]?

Shields (His best defense)

Lethal Progeny has a strong shield restore that includes overshields, which works so long as you have any shields.
[Augur Secrets] mods give you shields when you use any ability. (You can add more augur mods to your loadout, or [Brief Respite] in the aura slot)
Arcane Aegis constantly restores shields.
[Caliban]'s [Adaptation] is a weaker version, but 50% resistance is nothing to sneeze at.

Given these things, with this slightly under baseline duration, you're constantly casting. Always getting some shields back, so your summons are always pumping your shields back up to full and beyond.

Because of shield gating, this makes Caliban impressively durable, and makes any buffs to health or armor counter-productive.

Energy (A huge, but completely solvable problem)

With only [Streamline] and a slightly negative duration, you need a lot of energy.

This build focuses uses [Equilibrium] synergies to provide all of it.

[Equilibrium] combined with Dispensary can completely cover your energy needs.
You should have at least one of the companion [Synth Deconstruct] set mods equipped so that you can pick up health orbs at full health (Since they're worth more than their weight in energy!)

If you find yourself needing more energy, make sure you take advantage of your companion. Any companion with [Synth Deconstruct] and a weapon that tags mobs quickly will provide you tons of health orbs, which are really just more energy for you.

[Dethcube] can be a good candidate due to Energy Generator, but a Panzer Vulpaphyla can be just as good due to how many enemies they tag - and giving you viral for free.

The new operator sling arcane can also provide tons of energy.

Gameplay (Laser usage)

Get yourself rolling with Dispensary as your first cast in mission. Since your power strength is fairly high and duration low, you get a bunch of pickups, often double, in just a few seconds.

Always keep at least one Lethal Progeny alive. In combat, try to stagger casting them every few seconds - this will make sure you are restoring your shields if you lose them without having to even pay attention to them.

Sentient Wrath is a great CC and huge damage buff when you need it.

But the main goal of this build is to be able to freely cast Fusion Strike. In practice, so long as you cast Dispensary now and then, you can cast it every few seconds.

It's a full armor and shield strip in a single cast. It ragdolls and pulls enemies in to the center. It's great for breaking containers looking for Plumes. It's three frickin' laser beams.

You should casting abilities almost all the time. Dispenser gone? put down another. Down to 2 sentients? Stagger the 3rd out. Surrounded? Need to revive or nuke a specific enemy? Stomp. Anything else? Lasers. Strip their defenses and shoot them, or outright kill weaker enemies.

I think [Caliban]'s fun. You can improve this build with a forma and filling in the last mod (and changing your aura) to whatever you feel like you want. [Natural Talent] could be good for faster cast times. I don't mind them, personally. You can also fill in arcanes. Arcane Avenger is always a good bet, but there's plenty of options. Arcane Energize if you really feel like you need it.
