You Need Phenmor Slash! | Raw Slash Phenmor for Demolishers

by last updated 2 years ago

1450

Zariman colonists originally intended to use the Phenmor in burial rites. In Orokin society, the higher the rank, the greater number of volleys for the deceased. Its stock is carved from Phenaureus Pine, a tree designed to release seedlings only onto scorched earth. In the hands of the Void, the Phenmor becomes darkly aggressive.

You Need Phenmor Slash! | Raw Slash Phenmor for Demolishers

EVOLUTIONS
Void's Guidance - +50% Accuracy and -50% recoil while aiming. Combined with Primary Deadhead, completely negates recoil while aiming.
Pick something. I use the extra-reload-when-empty one.
Elemental Excess - Trades 10% Critical Chance for 20% Status Chance. By reducing critical chance, we can empower the fifth evolution.
Devouring Attrition - Every shot that does not deal a Critical Hit has a 50% chance to gain +2000% base damage. This bonus is final after everything.

Phenmor is the primary Incarnon Weapon, a long-range semi-automatic weapon. By completing the first Evolution Task, headshots will fill the Incarnon Gauge, allowing the [Phenmor] to assume its Incarnon Form, a machine gun not much different than the [Imperator]. Because of the sheer amount of ammo within the Incarnon Form, you should easily be within the Incarnon Form more than you should ever be in the semi-automatic mode.

The [Phenmor] throws slugs with travel time, which is shortened by [Terminal Velocity]. The Incarnon Form will also throw the same projectiles but at a far, far faster rate. These slugs have an innately high chance to inflict a Slash proc, but because rivens for this gun are so terrible, and most likely will be for a very long time, we will use [Fanged Fusillade] to reduce Puncture weighting on primary fire and Radiation weighting on Incarnon Form. This, combined with the sheer amount of fire rate given by [Vile Acceleration] and [Primed Shred], will inflict many, many slash procs in a short amount of time. Primed Shred aids in its crowd control capabilities with the punch-through. There are no explosions to be mindful of with [Phenmor] Incarnon.

Why those specific evolutions?

Void's Guidance simply negates recoil entirely when aiming, when paired with a max rank Primary Deadhead. I dunno about you, but I don't like recoil.
Elemental Excess lowers Critical Chance in order to gain double the value sacrificed in Status Chance. These values are absolute and apply after all mods.

Devouring Attrition is the perk that turns the [Phenmor] into an absolute monster. When a bullet fails to deal a Critical Hit, that bullet has a 50% chance to deal +2000% damage. That's a massive 21x multiplier! Furthermore, Devouring Attrition is a base damage multiplier that applies after all other base damage effects. Thus, its damage bonus will also make Slash procs as a result of the bullet become far, far stronger, potentially being the first rival to that of the [Glaive Prime] in sheer numbers. Through these Slash procs, no Demolisher will live through the [Phenmor] Incarnon's unrelenting assault.

Why Primary Deadhead despite it not proccing through Slash procs?

Devouring Attrition increases damage so much that successfully getting a kill with the actual bullet isn't out of the realm of possibility. Additionally, the sheer bullet hell that is the Incarnon Form will also increase the chances of a kill with the actual bullet.

ALTERNATIVES

Split Chamber - Use only if you don't have Galvanized Chamber. Upgrade as soon as you can.

Punch-Through OR Speed Trigger - Use if you don't have Primed Shred. Normal Shred can also work.

Vigilante Armaments - Use instead of Fanged Fusillade if you do not have it to try and increase natural Slash procs through sheer status chance rolling.

Bane - Use over Primed Bane if you don't have the Primed version. This build also works against Corpus Demolishers, so use a Corpus bane if necessary.

FORMA, FORMA, FORMA! WHY SO MANY?

Welcome to the great wide world of Primed and Galvanized mods.
