Gyre - The Tesla Coil

Hello there,

Introduction:

[Gyre] without [Cathode Current] is a garbage Warframe. Yes, I said it. Right after her introduce, she had one job, doing red crits. DE has decided that she is too strong and nerfed her. Like WTF?! She was never overpowered, plus her survivability is on par with the carrot that met the rabbit.

Playstyle:

  • find your first enemies and cast Rotorswell
  • pick up Energy Orb and cast Cathode Grace
  • keep those two abilities up, don't let Cathode Grace down, or you will pay with 60s cooldown... you really don't want it to happen
  • need to stop for a moment, defend a point, or just stand in some thread? Cast Arcsphere, boost your damage and create some AoE crowd control fields
  • cast Pillage whenever you see armored enemies

Attributes & Abilities:

I replaced her 2nd ability "Coil Horizon" with Hildryn's Pillage, to strip enemies from their defenses (Armor and/or Shield). Why do I replace her 2nd ability, not her 1st? Well it's only personal choice, but I found her Arcsphere more reliable and more useful, than her Coil Horizon, you can do otherwise.

The most important statistic in this build is Strength, you need minimum 328%. Why? Because thanks to Aura, you already reduce enemies armor (or shield, depending on Aura you use) for 18%. How to get 328%, when you see only 289%? ARCHON SHARDS!!! Please, read the whole guide.

Range... you need that to zap enemies before they see you and start shooting at you.

The biggest problem for you here will be keeping the Duration, the fewer enemies you kill, the less time you have to keep the abilities and losing her third ability ends up with a minute cooldown which will simply kill you. Feel the moment when it's best to activate her ability and fill up a timer that you can easily maintain.

Efficiency should not be any problem, but keep an eye on your Energy Pool.

Aura Slot:

Default polarization let you put chosen Aura

  • Corrosive Projection - Reduces enemy armor.
  • Shield Disruption - Reduces enemy shields.

Exilus Slot:

Must be unlocked with an Exilus Adapter.

  • NONE - if there is no such need, then there is no point in unlocking the slot.
  • Handspring - Speeds up a Warframe's knock-down recovery rate.
  • Pain Threshold - Increases the stagger recovery of your Warframe.
  • (Primed) Sure Footed - Increases a Warframe's chance to resist knockdown.
    Primed version is exclusive to the Daily Tribute system. It will become available at first at day 400. TAKE IT!!!

Warframe Arcane Enhancements:

  • Molt Augmented - On Kill, +0.24% Ability Strength. Stacks up to 250x.
  • Molt Efficiency - While Shields are Active, Gain 6% Ability Duration per second, up to a maximum of 36%.
  • Arcane Aegis - On Shield Damaged, 18% chance for +30% Shield Recharge for 12s.

Archon Shards:

  • Crimson Archon Shards (RED):
    +10% (+15%) Ability Strength ⇐ THIS IS IMPORTANT put on her at least 3x regular shards (or 2x Tauforged), to get 328% Strength!!!
  • Amber Archon Shards (YELLOW):
    +50% (+75%) Effectiveness on Energy Orbs ⇐ x2 or even x3
  • Azure Archon Shards (BLUE):
    NONE

Focus School:

  • Madurai:
    Power Transfer - 50% Casting Speed on switching to Warframe.
    Sling Strength - Switching to Warframe after a Chained Sling adds 40% Ability Strength for 20s.

Helminth Subsumable Abilitie:

  • Pillage - Defense Strip, Shield Restore, Status Cleanse.

Loadout:

  • Weapons - seriously, any. My personal choice on her Primary is [Amprex]... yeah, I like those red crits. Pick whatever melee you want, I use [Praedos] as a "statstick" for my movement (Evolution II: Drifting Grace: +20% Sprint Speed +20% Slide, Evolution IV: Evolved Ascension: +30% Parkour Velocity), take your Primer of choice.
  • Amp - chosen Amp parts and Arcanes.
  • Operator - chosen Arcanes.
  • Companion : Your Devoted Servant - kavat that will serve you in many ways, and not dies.

Summary:

As I mentioned at the beginning, [Gyre] without her augment is useless, she dies like a fly, does absolutely nothing else. DE nerfed her only advantage just to restore her former glory with a mod! You get it? Completely absurd! Anyway...
