Mods

Arcanes are entirely preference. I prefer Consequence, and there are some gimmicks with Theorem Demulcent for multiplying feast's toxin proc damage. Other options are Energize, [Guardian],

[Hearty Nourishment] is not available for exilus, so it's sadly inferior to PSF.

[Grendel] is frequently complained about for his energy issues. There is a simple solution to them, and it's called [Rage]. [Gourmand] does not replace this, it may move Feast's dependence to health, but your health still depends on Nourish to heal, which it needs energy for, which needs [Rage].

Strength is focused high to accelerate Feast's armor removal, stats are otherwise flexible.
Duration is low because Nourish is regularly casted.
Efficiency is very low because it doesn't matter. [Rage] provides overwhelming energy and [Grendel] has lots of health.
Feast has great initial range. Increasing it is optional.

Best used in levels 100 to 500

This build actually focuses on high level content, Steel Path everything. Its issue at low levels is that enemies don't do enough damage to refill your energy, and their level is too low to heal you with nourish. The damage scaling on feast and his other abilities are also weakest at the lower levels, while they almost guarantee death at high levels. Beyond certain endurance levels (500+), the damage becomes too much to take.

How to Play

Your central damage is Feast, specifically vomiting enemies. It deals more damage depending on the enemy level. It also multiplies for every enemy you throw up at once. Keep in mind that kills are not always instant, 3/4 of the damage is dealt in the guaranteed toxin proc over 6 seconds.

  • The armor removal reduces armor by a percentage of amount at the time of ingestion, not current or initial max. This means if it would normally take 6s to strip something, you can't digest it for 4 seconds, spit it out, and then digest it for another 4s. It means pillage can't remove 3/4 of the armor to reduce the removal time to 2s. Thankfully the damage can be so extreme that full armor removal is not always necessary.

It takes a lot of energy, but you'll typically get it right back after killing a batch of enemies. Regularly buff yourself with Nourish's Energy and Strike buffs. Doing this will also instantly recover a large amount of life.

  • Energy increases the energy gain from orbs and Rage.
  • Strike increases the toxin proc damage of feast, which can be important against armored enemies.

Pulverize is a waste of time.
Regurgitate costs no energy and also scales with enemy level, but it's typically not worth using.

Helminth Options

Replace Pulverize or Regurgitate.

  • Roar - has double the buffing effect on Feast's toxin.
