Octavia - Solo Steel Path and Infinite Invisibility

Why Use This Build?

  • Most Octavia builds are very similar but I didn't see any exactly the same as this one or any that explain Octavia thoroughly.
  • [Octavia] is mainly used for infinite stealth and camping in one spot during survivals. [Octavia] is not great at defending objectives because Resonator has limited range and Mallet must be seen to draw enemies' fire.

How to Use This Build

  • You can basically just use all the abilities on cooldown if you aren't moving.
  • If you are running spy then cast Dispensary to get energy and then Metronome and crouch for invisibility.

Abilities

  • Passive - Restore 30 Energy over 30 seconds within 15m after using an ability.
  • Mallet - Attracts fire and will damage enemies within range. This scales on the damage the Mallet takes and Power Strength.
  • Pillage - This helps tremendously in Steel Path for stripping armor.
  • Metronome - Mainly used for invisibility. Each buff has a different trigger: crouch for invisibility, jump for movement speed, shoot weapons for Multishot, and attack with melee for melee damage. It is important to have the right amount of notes in the Mandachord for effective use of this ability. I recommend one note per time segment in each of percussion, bass, and melody. This is the maximum number of notes you can place so just make sure that there are no spaces. This makes it easy to get invisibility by spam crouching relatively quickly. I have noticed that if you spam too quickly it is less effective. You can go into your settings and turn the sound off for your own Metronome if you don't like the sound of it.
  • Amp increases the damage and range of Mallet.

Mods

  • Corrosive Projection - This allows Mallet to be more effective against Grineer. Corrosive Projection should be used if you don't have additional Strength from Archon Shards or a different mod configuration.
  • Primed Sure Footed - Prevents knockdowns and staggers
  • Umbral Intensify - Strength for Mallet and Dispensary
  • Primed Continuity - Duration for all abilities
  • Primed Flow - More energy due to negative efficiency
  • Stretch - Range for Mallet
  • Blind Rage - Strength
  • Narrow Minded - Duration. This can be replaced with [Augur Message] without changing Forma for higher Range if needed. [Transient Fortitude] could also be used instead to increase Strength and Range at the cost of Duration. All of these options fit with an additional V Forma on the Augur Reach slot.
  • Overextended - Range
  • Augur Reach - Range

Arcanes

  • Arcane Energize - This allows Dispensary to be more effective for you.
  • Molt Efficiency - More Duration.
  • Magus Elevate - Healing
  • Magus Lockdown - Good survivability and can hold targets in place

Archon Shards

  • 2 Ability Strength Shards are used because 17% Ability Strength is still needed to full strip armor with 2 casts of Pillage. Corrosive Projection can be used instead. I also recommend 3 Ability Duration Shards.

Focus Schools

  • I mainly use Zenurik for extra Energy.

Weapons

  • I use Epitaph with this build for Viral procs if more damage is needed. Primary and melee don't really matter much. I use Phenmor to deal with Eximus but many weapons work well.
