One-Stop Shot: Steel Path Build | 608K Burst DPS

Be warned, this isn't a long guide perse, but I will be leaving a TL;DR at the bottom as it essentially turns into an essay.

My absolute go-to secondary, for any Loadout, any frame, any day. Coming from someone who used the [Twin Grakatas] for the better part of half a decade, it took me a long time to find a weapon that surpassed the sheer fun factor and power fantasy of dual-wielding two Grineer assault rifles.

After jumping back into Warframe after a prolonged hiatus, I decided I need to spring clean my arsenal. And the first thing I knew that had to go were those damn Grakatas. The only way they could surpass the utter un-holiness that is the Pyrana Prime's sustained DPS is with a top-tier Riven mod, which is not a realistic expectation. So I knew they had to go.

Anyways, personal ramblings aside here's my thought process for this relatively simple build. I took a look at other [Pyrana] builds on Overframe, and I found most of them irrelevant for various reasons. No use of Galvanized mods, Arcanes most players won't have let alone fully maxed out, absolute overkill on Forma, etcetera etcetera.

So my goal for this build was to create a build that's accessible to most intermediate players, that didn't have a high buy-in point for Forma, and 5 was the appropriate maximum that was a decent investment for most players, but not an unrealistic expectation for an end-game build.

This build is almost second to none within it's league, with the exceptions being the Meat Slasher and General Use builds on Overframe, and more or less being derivative of the General Use build.

  • Meat Slasher is a tad bit underwhelming with the use of Carnis Stinger, with Primed Heated Charge being more effective in 90% of use cases, with or without an Arcane.

  • General Use also contains a glaring flaw, that being it's a Forma too high, using 6 instead of 5. This build can still slot in Primed Heating Charge without that extra Forma.

This build is more or less an updated and slightly more user-friendly build of General Use than anything else. A clean-up if you will.

Anyways, the rest of the build is self-explanatory, most other [Pyrana] builds have these mods and I'm sure you don't need this essay to go on any longer. Galvanized mods apply conditionals, conditionals equal higher DPS.

TL;DR:
Gun go bang bang, shoot shoot, pew pew.
