Stance is there just for mod capacity since the build is just for stealth attacks. “Smite” mods all match the slot polarity so you don’t have to worry about which faction to go for. Definitely upgrade the “Smite” mods to their primed counterparts as soon as you have the platinum to trade or the credits and ducats for Baro. Also the Arcane of Choice is the one that gives initial combo on finisher kill (if it stacks)
