Profit Taker Zenith at its finest

A build made for Profit Taker (PT) hunts with [Chroma] in mind.

Main build, where you can find more information and link to the other builds

Useful notes:

  • The build is focused solely on the Semi mode with infinite punch through
  • This build was made explicitly for a [Chroma] user, it does not feature any Damage mod like [Serration], because [Chroma]'s Vex Armor provides it. If you still want to go with something like Amalgam Serration, note that the damage buff will be ~10% at Most
  • The first 7 mods are key to this build
  • This build covers mainly Gas and Cold, puncture damage is supplementary and it is fully dependent on your Zaw build
  • [Hammer Shot] can be replaced with [Vile Acceleration], [Bladed Rounds], [Wildfire], [Piercing Caliber]. [Vile Acceleration] practically doubles the firepower, but it should be taken into account that it consumes more ammo and how strong your [Chroma] and [Zenith] builds are. If you need 2 shots to change the Gas and Cold vulnerable shields, then Vile Acceleration might be the way to go. If you get into 50/50 zone with oneshotting because of [Vile Acceleration], consider adding more damage to make sure that you deal as much damage as possible in a single shot. If you're playing in a team, try and get a [Wisp] in there with a good Haste mote. This will effectively replace your Vile Acceleration, giving you the ability to go all out for even more damage
  • Primary Dexterity is 15 platinum, at the time I'm making this guide. What it offers is 60% damage on melee kills, Holster speed and combo duration, which is not used (not by me at least). The additional holster speed helps in changing weapons, even tho the [Chroma] build already has [Vigorous Swap]. The 60% kill is what makes this build even better. The duration is 20 seconds which makes it Very easy to use in conjunction with Gloom. Everything that jumps at you is a free kill, bonus damage for both primary and secondary. In comparison with Primary Merciless, which has Very low duration and needs a lot of kill to achieve max damage potential, this is a Far superior choice. On top of that, this arcane is practically replacing 2 [Amalgam Serration] mods alone at 5 stacks (well, not really, but close enough). The most important part of this mod is that it ramps up the damage high enough so you can destroy pylons with 2 bullets (1 shot if both hit)
  • [Galvanized Chamber] is preferred over [Split Chamber] because when you wait for the Pylons to land, you can melee and shoot enemies to gain more damage and multishot at the same time. Once a pylon lands, you should be able to destroy pylons with 2 bullets (1 shot, provided that 2 bullets hit from multishot) without the need of using Vigorous Swap (it's a good practice to use it still, especially if you are farming braindead like I do a lot of the time)
  • [Primed Bane Of Corpus] is probably the best mod that can be used as the 7th mod, since it's a 55% flat damage increase (unless there is a player with Rhino's Roar, the % from Roar is added to Primed Bane of Corpus, and it will be the final value)
  • As for the Exilus Slot, my suggestion would be to use Tactial Reload if you Really want to put something in there. I'm using a couple of Synth mods, and they make for a weaker Tactial Reload mod, that works for primary and secondary as well. [Vigilante Supplies] is also an option but if you are already oneshotting all the shields, slightly stronger bullets won't matter, the shield damage will be capped anyway

If you would like to get a riven for it, my recommendation would be one with multishot, puncture, cold so it's easier to deal with the Pylons
