Contagion takes care of Impact, Puncture, Slash, and Blast for PT (viral portion is bugged atm, and only applies if you hit a specific area of PT, where her head is programmed to be; see Ass meta guide) as well as elements.

Contagion Zaws are always Strike + Peye/Seekalla + Vargeet 2 Jai. Dokrahm is best because it has the highest base damage w/o accounting rivens.

Attack speed affects how fast the contagion projectile travels.

A Riven is not necessary to get good shield times if you have the proper buffs, contagion just does that much damage. The Rank of the arcane doesn't have a huge impact either since you're usually close to PT.

If you want to use a riven setup, the Best strikes are Kronsh, Ooltha, Dehtat stat-wise, and due to not having "Airlock" (Scythes, Polearms and Staves do not have "Airlock"). However, even a dual stat riven ( two positives of damage and crit damage and a negative can be used on any strike with a good dispo.
