Look Mama Margulis, It's my first red crit! | Steel Path | General | Eidolon | No Helminth

Hello everyone, Kachang(IGN Erekidu) here with my first guide ever for Pope Prime.

I call this build Big PP Damage in my setup, you're free to call it whatever you like. Since I play using the CONTROLLER on the PC, this build is also geared towards my CONTROLLER brethren that can't or don't want to animation cancel like a pleb, just like me. But dodge rolling isn't beneath us, oh no good sirs.

The mods selection is catered to the way that I play, not entirely spamming skills while moving at the speed of light dodge rolling through the legs of an Eximus Juggernaut, not entirely sitting at one place just mindlessly shooting my COUGHS [Shedu]. [Shedu] can suck ass, [Trumna] 4ever.

Let's get on to the mods explanation shall we?

  1. [Brief Respite] is for those between moments where I forget to cast the skills in order and suddenly forget to keep my overshields up.

  2. [Power Drift] is for those sweet numbers to go up while giving us a resistance to knockdown. Also because I don't have Primed Sure Footed...

  3. Rolling Guard is for I-frames before casting Thurible or to get yourself out of any tight pickle jars.

  4. Primed Continuity/Continuity is for letting me shoot my god damn gun and not having to press skills so often.

  5. Primed Flow/[Flow]... you're [Harrow], you don't need efficiency, you just need a big pool to store all those energy [Juice] in.

  6. [Constitution] works well with [Power Drift] and getting back up on your feet faster IF you're knocked, which you will be because we only have 30% knockdown resistance.

  7. You only need [Stretch] here. The way that [Harrow] works is that Covenant (Your 4) works with Affinity Range not Ability Range, so more Ability Range is pretty much useless. What we would need to do is make sure to unlock Vazarin, Mending Unity which helps to make sure your teammates (do you really need them if you're Pope Prrme tho?) receives the Big PP Boost too.

  8. [Augur Message] for extra duration without sacrificing anything, also nice passive.

  9. [Natural Talent]. We have a lot of long casting animations, I think this is a natural mod for [Harrow].

  10. [Blind Rage] is also a natural mod for [Harrow]. Since you turn the blood of your enemies into energy why would you need efficiency, right? RIGHT?!

Arcane Avenger for more consistent crits, Arcane [Rage] for Big PP Damage. I don't us Arcane Acceleration because I run [Trumna], change as you see fit.
You need 3 formas and if you're asking why I don't have an aura forma installed, it's because if you're running Eidolon Hunts you can change [Brief Respite] into [Corrosive Projection] easily and you won't have needed to spend 4 formas and 10 nitain extract to craft one stupid aura forma that also costs 80 plats which I you don't have. Also swap [Power Drift] for [Coaction Drift] if you feel like doing so.

There you go. As a reminder to all of our proud Pope Prime mains, always remember the following algorithm:-

Dodge Roll -> 3rd ability -> Shoot enemies -> 1st ability until desired overshields -> 2nd ability -> 4th ability for I-frames while you charge your shields back up -> Repeat a billion times for pretty red numbers and spitting in Death's face.

Here's a fun fact: the enemy AI is so dumb that the [Lasting Covenant] augment feels like poop to use due to them not targeting headshots when tested in Simulacrum. Any headshot that you actually receive is pretty much pure luck from shotgun pellets and such. Think Stormtrooper.

Here's another fun fact: If you're using a weapon like the [Trumna] for example, try to avoid double buffing the fire rate. It's counter productive since you burn through way too much ammo without dealing any significant damage. I've burned through ammo being buffed with my 2nd and [Wisp]'s ability before I even noticed. I'm not telling you that you can't do it, it's very fun (read: addictive). Just be aware that you're burning through ammo at a frightening rate.

Have fun Tenno, and may the Church Of The Holy Crit shine its red light on you always.
