READ BELOW FOR [Drifting Contact] AND HEAT STATUS SWAP OPTIONS (MUCH BETTER)

There was a bug for a long time where [Weeping Wounds], [Blood Rush], and the Gladiator sentinel set would not work on the [Talons], this has been fixed in the last update!

With the new status changes, this is by far the best mod setup for most slash based melee weapons, including the [Talons].

Viral now directly boosts the damage that Slash does, and both Viral and Slash stack each proc individually rather than adding them all up. This means that [Condition Overload] can get to max effect after only a few hits.

[Weeping Wounds] brings the status chance up to 170% at 12x combo, which [Gladiator Might] helps maintain (I explain why [Drifting Contact] isn't used below). This means at 12x combo [Condition Overload] is at max nonstop, and the added bonus status procs kill 165 lvl enemies in roughly 3 seconds after only 1 hit. If you add in physical melee damage, even the highest lvl enemies die in just a few hits with Berserker.

The reason [Primed Fever Strike] and [North Wind] are used instead of Voltaic and Virulent is because, despite those 2 giving more status chance, that pales to almost nothing in comparison to the status boost you get from [Weeping Wounds] at high combos. Crunching the numbers, [Primed Fever Strike] and [North Wind] do roughly double the damage Voltaic and Virulent do at high combos.

The reason [Pressure Point] isn't here is to instead boost crit chance and damage with [Organ Shatter] and [Blood Rush] with your combo. The guaranteed crits at high combos with these mods combined with [Condition Overload] dwarf the damage you'd get with replacing [Pressure Point] for any of these. This is also why [Gladiator Might] is used instead of [Drifting Contact], as the crit boost from [Gladiator Rush] at high combos is on par with Blood Rush and the status chance from Drifting Contact makes almost no difference thanks to Weeping Willow.

[Drifting Contact] Swap Option
An optional change to this though (and stronger too),
if you have a sentinel that is able to equip the [Deconstructor] weapon, you can also put all the Gladiator mods onto it and your Warframe and weapons will get the full set effect Crit bonus, even if the sentinel dies during a mission. So with that setup you could replace [Gladiator Rush] on the [Talons] with [Drifting Contact] to get the better combo duration while still reaping the rewards of the Gladiator set, and you'd get even better Crit scaling with this setup as you can apply all 3 Gladiator mods to your sentinel for the set bonus, instead of just the one on the [Talons] (thats what I do).

You do NOT need any Gladiator mods on your Warframe or [Talons] for this to work, they ONLY need to be on the Sentinel [Deconstructor] weapon.

If you equip the Naramon school too, activate the passive to have your combo slowly degrade over time rather than disappear all at once after the bar runs out, and (paired with Drifting Contact or Gladiator Rush) you'll be able to keep a x12 combo up pretty much all mission long no problem.

Volcanic Edge/[Molten Impact] HEAT Swap Option (MUCH BETTER)
If you really want to maximize the damage from this setup, equip the Naramon school so that you have the degrading combo counter as mentioned earlier, and swap out [Gladiator Rush] for [Volcanic Edge] if you want over 200% status, or [Molten Impact] for a bit more raw damage.

This will give you another roughly 150% damage increase thanks to having more status effects with [Condition Overload], and at max rank the Naramon combo counter skill easily replaces any combo counter duration mods you'd need. Plus, Heat pairs GREAT with Viral thanks to the combined armor strip and damage increase, and all enemies in the game will be not be immune to at least one of these status'.

You shouldn't have any trouble maintaining 12x combo in high level content thanks to always having Berserker up from the crit chance mods, and this setup shreds low level content at its base stats.
