(Old) Planned Caliban Build (pre-release) - Triple Umbral - High Strength & Optional Range

Preliminary build theory for Caliban

Base Stats:
Health 300
Shields 300
Energy 150
Armor 275
Sprint 1.1

This build is assuming that he has his own built-in max [Adaptation] and that you can't stack it by adding the normal [Adaptation] mod on top. IF his passive [Adaptation] sucks or if we're capable ot stacking [Adaptation], I'd replace [Stretch] with Adaptation and build just for Strength and Duration. Range seems like the least important.

Building for Strength and Duration:

  • Stronger summoned sentients that will stick around longer
  • More powerful 1, 2, and 4 with the suspension effect of 2 and armor reduction effect of 4 lasting longer. If his 1 is channeled like Dance Macabre, high duration should reduce the cost per second quite a bit. But I'll probably be getting rid of his 1 anyway.

Will probably replace his 1 with a Helminth ability, either Pillage or Gloom. He needs a way to heal himself passively. Pillage is always a good option, too, on builds with high strength and duration. Could also replace his 2, but his 2 appears stronger. It seems that his 1 and 2 both serve a redundant function: two different flavors of damage and crowd control. But his 2 can be delivered in a burst instead of channeling. Plus, he doesn't have something like Mesmer armor like [Revenant], so he'll be vulnerable while spinning around.

Looks like he'll be a pretty strong frame. Base Health and Shields are the same as Excal Umbra/Prime. Base Energy is the same as the warrior classes (Valkyr, Nidus, Rhino etc), and his armor is the same as Khora's. Actually higher than Inaros's. Should make for a great triple-Umbral build.
