The Shadow Revenant | Sevagoth

Hello everyone,

My name is UltimoFive and today we are going over [Sevagoth], The Shadow [Revenant].

Frame Information

  • [Sevagoth] is a warframe that was lost upon a voyage adrift the Untime. In order to obtain [Sevagoth] one must play the Call of the Tempestarii and finish the quest in order to obtain his Blueprint. Meanwhile, his Chassis, Neuroptics, and Systems can all be acquired from Void Storm missions in the Pluto, Neptune, or Veil Proxima's in Empyrean Missions.

  • Sevagoth requires a Mastery Rank of 0.

  • Sevagoth comes with a "V" and "D" Polarity Slot. Because of this, the Builds on him will require 4 Forma.

  • [Sevagoth] comes with Sevagoth's Shadow and his Exalted weapon, the [Shadow Claws]. With his Shadow Form and Claws by his side he becomes a menace to enemies upon the battlefield and an ally that those would want by his side.

Advantages Vs. Disadvantages

Advantages:

  • Average Health Pool at 100/300

Disadvantages:

  • Below Average Energy Pool at 125/188

  • Below Average Shield Pool at 90/270

  • Low Armor at 150

  • Slow Sprint Speed at 0.95

Ability & Augmentation Overview

  • Passive - [Sevagoth]'s Passive enables unending death and rebirth. Upon entering the Bleedout state, [Sevagoth] will petrify into a tombstone, enabling the player to control Shadow with the objective of collecting 5 enemy souls. Once the player has reached a full harvest, [Sevagoth] will revive. However, alternatively an ally may revive [Sevagoth] manually. This passive is really outstanding for Solo Play, due to giving the player a Second Chance, but it ends up falling off when in a group. Don't get me wrong, it still can be useful in a group, but most of the time I get revived by teammates.

  • Reap - [Sevagoth]'s First Ability severs apart from his shadow to expel it towards a targeted direction. Along with this Shadow releases a harrowing wail that weakens and deals Radiation Damage to all enemies within range and marks survivors with Death's Harvest. Enemies who have been seeded with Sow that are then hit by Reap receive a second instance of Damage and Detonate dealing more Damage in a 4 meter Radius. This ability is extremely great for either priming enemies to do increased Damage against them with the Tenno's weapons or is extremely great when synergized with Sow to essentially mini Nuke a room full of enemies.

  • Sow - [Sevagoth]'s Second Ability damns the souls of enemies around him, implanting death seeds into all enemies within Range. Those who have been seeded decay, taking damage over time. This ability is great, due to how it synergizes with Reap, but also in some circumstances, not so great. The main reason why it isn't so great is that the damage over time has a Falloff from 100% to 25% at max range. This isn't too bad, but unless the player is really using this ability in synergy with Reap, then it makes for an easy flex out for a Helminth Ability.

  • Gloom - [Sevagoth]'s Third Ability unleashes flowing darkness around him as a radial pulse that gets larger the longer the ability is active. Enemies within the aura suffer decreased action speed, while [Sevagoth] and his allies standing within gain lifesteal for damage dealt by weapons and abilities. As well as this, if [Sevagoth] keeps the ability active and switches to his shadow form, the ability will still stay on as long as [Sevagoth] has Energy. This ability is extremely great for either extreme Crowd Control or Increased Survivability. This is what makes [Sevagoth] extremely good and able to go into Late game with ease. There is no real negatives to this ability other than if one has decreased efficiency and duration, which makes the ability kind of bad.

  • Exalted Shadow - [Sevagoth]'s Fourth Ability allows [Sevagoth] to passively collect the life essence of enemies affected or slain by his other 3 abilities that fill up the Death Well gauge. Once the player uses this ability they transfer control to his Shadow manifestation and gains 4 new abilities and becomes equipped with his Exalted [Shadow Claws]. I won't go into much detail here about his Shadow, due to that information being in the other guide about [Sevagoth's Shadow], but this ability is standard. It is used for transference in order to switch between the two, so there isn't anything to say. Just don't switch this ability out for another, that would be very bad.

Builds

Before we begin, the Aura slots in these Build are different due to me using an Aura Forma. I do strongly suggest using an Aura Forma for [Sevagoth]. However, if one doesn't want to then I would say Forma for a "Dash" Polarity in order to fit in [Corrosive Projection] or other useful "Dash" Aura Mods.

[Vitality] Drainer: 4 Forma

Main Build:

Alternative Build:

The [Vitality] Drainer Build for [Sevagoth] utilizes 2 different Builds, with his Main one focusing on an Extremely Large Increase to Energy and Medium Increases to Strength, Duration, and Range. Meanwhile, his Alternative Build focuses on a Very Large increase to Strength, with a Medium Increase to Range and a Small Increase to Duration. The Build's Flex Slot is [Augur Secrets] and both Builds work very well into late game. However, the Main Build has more energy and less energy drain for Gloom. Meanwhile, the Alternative Build has more energy drain for Gloom and more Ability Strength with a decreased Energy Pool. It doesn't really matter which one is chosen, but I prefer the Main one that has an increased Energy Pool, it just fits my style more. Essentially this Build set is focused around Gloom for Crowd Control and Survivability with the ability to prime enemies with Reap.

Soul Harvester: 4 Forma

Main Build:

Alternative Build:

The Soul Harvester Build for [Sevagoth] utilizes 2 different Builds, with his Main one focusing on a Large Increase to Strength, with Medium Increases to Range and Efficiency and a Medium Decrease to Duration. Meanwhile, his Alternative Build focuses on an Extremely Large Increase to Range, with Medium Increases to Efficiency and Strength and a Medium Decrease to Duration. The Build's Flex Slot is [Augur Secrets] and is more suited for missions that will have tons of enemies that gather up. Essentially prime enemies with Sow and then Reap enemies to do tons of damage. However, I noticed that bringing this into Steel Path it is a bit harder to kill enemies, so I would suggested subsuming Gloom for [Hildryn]'s Pillage which will help with stripping enemy armor or shields. This significantly makes it easier to Nuke them into late game against the Corpus and Infested. However, the Grineer is a bit more difficult to deal with Nuking. Alternatively, a player could subsume [Nidus]' Larva or [Mag]'s Pull to bring enemies closer so one could nuke the battlefield as well as having a different form of Crowd Control.

Sevagoth's Shadow

  • Strength Focused | 3 Forma:

  • Range Focused | 3 Forma:

The Builds for [Sevagoth's Shadow] Focus on Ability Strength for the First Build and Focus on Ability Range for the Second Build. These Builds work well into late game and even into the Steel Path, in which they tear apart groups of enemies in seconds.

[Shadow Claws]

Corpus | 4 Forma | Toxin

Corrupted & Grineer | 4 Forma | Viral

Infested | 4 Forma | Gas

The Elements for Sevagoth's Shadow Claws follows Toxin for the Corpus, Viral for the Corrupted and Grineer, and Gas or Viral/Heat for the Infested. I won't go into much detail in this guide. However, these Builds work great into Late Game and the Steel Path in which it can decimate all who stand in the players way.

Recommended Alternative Modifications

The Aura slot can be whatever one wants it to be. As long as it benefits one and what they are doing currently than realistically anything can work there. For instance, [Corrosive Projection], which I mentioned before, is a Great Aura mod, but [Brief Respite] can be a better choice in some situations. You could even use an Aura Forma on him so any mod could go there. Which is what I did.

  • Intensify - In place of Umbral Intensify if one doesn't have it.

  • Continuity - In place of Primed Continuity if one doesn't have it.

  • Rage - In place of Hunter Adrenaline if one doesn't have it.

  • Streamline - In place of the Vitality Drainer Build's Flex Slot in order to help with his expensive abilities.

  • Rhino's Roar - In place of Sow in the Vitality Drainer Build if the player wants buff options for themselves and allies.

  • Chroma's Elemental Ward - In place of Sow in the Vitality Drainer Build if the player wants optional buffs that can assist them into battle.

  • Mesa's Shooting Gallery - In place of Sow in the Vitality Drainer Build if the player wants a way to stun enemies and buff weapon damage.

  • Mirage's Eclipse - In place of Sow in the [Vitality] Drainer Build if one wants an ability that can really help with increasing Damage in the Light or Resistance in the Dark.

  • Nidus' Larva - In place of Gloom in the Soul Harvester Build if one wants an ability to pull enemies into one area for nuking.

  • Hildryn's Pillage - In place of Sow in the [Vitality] Drainer Build or in place of Gloom in the Soul Harvester Build if one wants an ability that reduces enemy Shields and Armor.

Arcane Synergy

  • Arcane Energize - Upon Energy Pickup, 60% chance to replenish Energy to nearby allies.
