New Player Plain [Seer] Build
This build is meant for new players, and the [Seer] is meant to be an offhand sniper pistol (based on this build).
In order to obtain the 60 mod capacity at max level, it will be necessary to purchase an Orokin Catalyst from the Nightwave stand in your Orbiter.
It is forma-heavy, so having those and knowing how to use them properly is essential. Unluckily this means that you will have to re-level this weapon 8 times. My best suggestion for this is to run [Loki] or some other stealth based Warframe and use the stacking stealth kill bonus to speed this along. On an average Earth spy mission I can get about 200,000 to 1.25 million affinity (depending on map size, enemy spawns, and the amount of time I spend in the mission), so it is possible to level the weapon from 0 to 30 in one mission. If you have friends that can taxi and carry you through Hydron or some other high level mission, this is even better and faster.
In terms of the Endo cost, 25,250 endo could be worse, but honestly since all of these mods are standard, investing in them is a guaranteed necessity moving forward. If you struggle to fulfill this, searching for Ayatan sculptures in every mission is a good idea, and make sure to complete the weekly mission from Maroo, in Maroo’s Bazaar on Mars. Each one of the Ayatan sculptures is worth a fair chunk of endo.
The hardest mod to get ahold of in this build will most likely be [Lethal Torrent], as it is a Nightmare mod that is rewarded from completing Nightmare missions. The second hardest is going to be [Barrel Diffusion], which is best obtained through performing Dark Sector Defense missions (Coba, Earth is your best bet).
Since I don’t want to set anyone up for failure, I will give you clear parameters as to when this build and weapon is effective. First off, this build does not utilize the status or critical hit effects that are inherent in all weapons. This means this build has absolutely no late game (level 40 to 100 enemies) potential. In terms of mid-game (level 20 to 30 enemies), this weapon sees a sharp fall off in this period as enemy armor is beginning to grow exponentially and without critical hits to exponentially boost damage to match the armor growth or status effects to ignore/mitigate armor, this weapon loses approximately 60% effectiveness. So this weapon with this build is useful at early to early-middle game (level 1 to 25 enemies).
The elemental mods can be swapped around to match the enemies that you are facing in the level. My advice is to research the specific enemies you are attempting to kill since this is meant as more of an assassination weapon, but my general recommendations are:
Grineer: Corrosive (Electric and Toxin pairing) and Blast (Heat and Cold Pairing)
Corpus and Infested: Radiation (Electric and Heat pairing) and Viral (Toxin and Cold Pairing)
Corrupted: About fair across the board for either of the above pairing sets.
