[01] A Smeeta Build | Optimal Survival | Steel Path Intended

Nulla. Quick Rundown:

The [Smeeta Kavat]. A companion that is able to provide numerous buffs. However, let's be real the only one you really care about is the x2 resource booster it provides as one of its available buffs. The build here opts for the highest possible survival time while on the field before needing to bleed out.

Buffs it's able to bestow upon its owner (from wiki):
• Critical Chance: Sets critical hit chance to 200%, regardless of mods or other critical buffs (30s)
• Energy Refund: All energy expenditure from Warframe abilities is refunded for 10 seconds (10s)
• Doubled Pickups and Affinity: Any pickups collected or affinity earned are doubled (120s)
• Instant Reload: Reload instantly once (buff lasts until next reload)
• Reinforced Shields: Negates damage received from the next incoming hit. Additionally, awards 150 overshields (until hit)
• Rare Resource: The Smeeta creates 1 instance of the current system's rare resources for its owner (no duration)

II. Flex Slots:

Removable: Medi-Pet Kit, Pack Leader
Substitutes: Link-Armor (health tanking), Sharpened Claws (armor strip), Synth Deconstruct (additional set bonus).

Hastened Deflection (Increase Shield-gate Rate, though admittedly not really an option at all; explained below)

III. Why Not Other Mods? (FAQ):

Q: Enhanced Vitality vs Link-Health?:
For the purpose of the mod's case study, we will refer to Baruuk who possesses the least amount of base health a Warframe can possess - 225 Health (r30).
Enhanced Vitality: (100 x 2.2) + 300 = 520 HP
Link-Health: (225 x 1.65) + 300 = 671 HP

Even at worst, Enhanced Vitality is provides ~29% less health. Additionally, Link-Health allows "for Life Steal effects and various forms of self-healing, such as from Hirudo, Mod, Life Strike, Mod, Winds of Purity, or some direct self-healing Warframe abilities (such as from Inaros or Wukong), to also heal the active companion in real time, even if the Warframe is already at full health." ~ wiki

Q: Why is [Hastened Deflection] not really an option?
Companions also possess what is known as 'Tenno shields' where they are able to survive 1 hit if shields are depleted from max and gain 1.3 seconds of invulnerability, however companions do not possess the ability to instantly regain shields and must go through the process of regaining shields at a specific rate.

Here are the calculations for TIME IT TAKES FOR KAVAT TO FULLY REGAIN SHIELDS AFTER HAVING ITS MAX SHIELDS DEPLETED (including 4s delay):

SRR (Shield Recharge Rate) = (15+0.05(max shields))*(1+shield recharge bonus))
SRT (Shield Recharge Time) (s) = Max Shields / SRR

Without Hastened:
SRT(s) = 180 / ((15 + 0.05(180))(1))
7.5s + 4s = 11.5s

With Hastened:
SRT(s) = 180 / ((15 + 0.05(180))(1+0.9))
3.94s (4s) + 4s = 8s

Remember that these conditions are also implied that that kavat will take no damage during the time it takes to recharge shields.

Therefore: [Hastened Deflection] isn't doesn't provide enough of a survivability upgrade to be able to justify its slot over other survival mods. The kavat must go through 8s without taking damage to be able to fully recharge its shields which is more than enough time for enemies to shoot the kavat until it dies.

Q: Why is [Pack Leader] an option while [Hunter Recovery] is not?
[Pack Leader] allows you as the player to be able to heal your Kavat during melee attacks.
[Hunter Recovery] does not do this, what the mod actually does is while the Kavat attacks, you the player will be healed, not the Kavat.

IV. Final Notes:

Buffs aren't able to be skewed so equipping/unequipping certain weapons from the loadout will not adjust chances to roll buffs. Here's some stuff listed from the wiki:
• The Reinforced Shields buff can trigger on Warframes without Shields, but will not grant Overshields to them. It can also trigger when at maximum Overshields on other Warframes.
• The Energy refund buff can trigger on Warframes without Energy.
• The Instant Reload buff can still be rolled even if the player unequips all weapons from their loadout.

PRECEPT ORDER MATTERS:
"Companions will check to see if the conditions to use the highest priority precept are fulfilled, and will continue to use that precept until the conditions are no longer met. Then they will check each other precept in priority order. Companions will also interrupt the usage of lower priority precepts to use higher priority precepts." ~ Wiki
Precept Priority Order tl;dr put [Charm] top left
