Each arrow spawns a swarm of sticky appendages on impact. These tongue-like probes latch onto nearby unfortunates and drag them close before bursting into a mess of diseased goo.

Steel Path Weapon of Mass Destruction: Gas/Elec/Slash/Viral AoE DoT 225k Burst DPS

This build is what I’ve been running on mine for some time now and it can easily keep nuking waves of enemies for hours in Steel Path Survival.

The thing that really brings this thing into overdrive is the DoT effects. It’s explosions deal over 200k damage with multi-shot which is great but it pales in comparison to the amount of damage the DoTs are doing when it groups enemies up with the tethers. Gas, Bleed, and Electricity will all get proc’d in multiples on just the first damage tick because of the insane 154% status chance. I went with these DoTs because they also deal their damage in and AoE. This means that when the tethers group enemies up and proc the status effects the damage is multiplied even further by the number of enemies in the cluster. Viral also is in this mix from the innate explosion damage which really is there only to serve as an insurance policy against anything that survives the DoT or the first shot. The enemies still standing will have a hefty amount of viral procs making shot number 2 even more devastating than the first.

There’s almost nothing in Steel Path that can stand up to this combo. Single target enemies can be a challenge if you haven’t gotten your stacks up yet on Galv. Chamber and Aptitude, and Primary Merciless but even then unless they’re Heavily armored they will go down in 1-2 shots. Once this thing has stacks built up though… Nothing stands a chance. The more enemies the better. Pesky Nullifiers with enemies nearby? Shoot the bubble, enemies that get tethered will deal AoE damage to the bubble collapsing it and then the explosion will kill the nullifier itself. If you bring even the slightest form of armor strip for Grineer and Corrupted tile sets then you’ll be cutting through enemies like they’re made of wet paper. Corpus and Infested enemies go down instantaneously making the bane almost overkill so feel free to slot [Cautious Shot] or whatever else floats your boat when facing them. Otherwise swap out the bane for whatever enemies you’ll be facing the most of for good measure and most of all enjoy!
