4 forma maxed out Orthos Prime + Primer

4 forma. One shot steel path mobs. Any level, works on lvl9999 mobs. Must have Primer.

Important update: I was relying on the overframe.gg build calculator for the stats but after I was told that Sacrificial Steel is wrongly calculated I did the calculations myself and turns out that the people are correct and the website is dudu. Overframe calculates the bonus critical chance from Sacrificial Steel twice because of the heavy attacks, but we don't care about those and we don't use them because they eat all our combo counter and we're not building for heavy attacks so in reality our builds wouldn't actually [Reach] red crits.

I have updated this specific guide to [Reflect] that. [Orthos Prime] can still [Reach] red crits at a 8.8% chance but we would need to [Sacrifice] our critical damage. Basically I have changed Organ Shatter for Gladiator Might. If you wanna know the math behind critical chance:

  • Total Crit Chance = Base Crit Chance x ( 1 + Relative Bonus + Blood Rush Multi x ( Combo Multi - 1 )) + Absolute Bonus

So In our case Orthos Prime base cc is 24% x ( 1 + (relative bonus is sacrifical steel 220% + (blood rush mutli is 40% x (12-1)) + (gladiator might mutli is 10% x (12-1)) and no absolute bonuses). This in turn equals 24% x ( 1 + 2.2 + 4.4 + 1.1) = 24 x 8.7 = 208.8% crit chance, which means we will have 8.8% chance to do a red crit.

Now I did the math of the critical damage we would have If we would get that sweet red crit that can happen every 8.8% chance. The formula is:

  • Crit Tier Multi' = 1 + Crit Tier'' x ( Modded Crit Multi''' - 1)

' the critical tier multiplier means our critical damage
'' the crit tier represents yellow/orange/red crits, yellow = 1, orange = 2, red = 3, red(tier4) = 4, red(tier5) = 5 ect... the critical hits go infinite
''' modded crit multi represents our base crit multi of the weapon times 1 + all the critical multi from the mods

So our critical damage formula for the [Orthos Prime] if we would red crit with only Gladiator Might equipped as our crit damage mod will be:

1 + 3 x ( 2.2 x (1+60%) -1 ) = 8.56 critical damage

And our critical damage formula for the [Orthos Prime] if we would orange crit with Gladiator Might and Organ Shatter equipped as our crit dmg mods would be:

1 + 2 x ( 2.2 x (1+60%+90%) -1 ) = 10 critical damage

So to summarize it : If we would do a red crit which would have 8.8% chance only to happen, we would boost our damage by x8.56, or we could mod to not have any red crits at all but to have 56.1% chance to orange crit and if we would orange crit we would boost our damage by x10. This means, I'm sorry but red crits will deal less damage and even happen way less so you need to give up on them and mod like this, because this is the most optimal and highest calculated dps way.

If you want to read up on a guide on how Slash works and how this weapon works I advise you to go check out a guide I wrote on my 2 forma build for this same weapon. https://overframe.gg/build/222972/orthos-prime/2-forma-endgame-orthos-prime-guide/

This is the maxed out potential build this weapon can have without a Riven mod. And even with a Riven, the dispo is so low that you wouldn't be achieving much with it. The only change that I would recommend you doing is Twirling Spire over Shimmering Blight. I wrote an explanation why in my other guide, essentially it's your personal preference.
