Nail them to the wall! The Stahlta automatic rifle propels hardened steel rods at high speed, while a charged fire mode fuses a number of volatile rods together for a large radioactive explosion.

First things first: Use the UT skin or use another gun :P
Yes ofc I know this is not an Opticor... but this is what Opticor was always meant to be!
Alt Fire.
Exception to the above are mobs with cap max damage taken, but then you should use something else instead.
Viral? Where we're going we don't need viral.
I was running pure Raw damage before the status change and decided to recheck that after the status change. It was worse.
Once again with the new mods I decided to test and run missions. Still the same, I don't like it and it performs worse than pure DoT just like before.
On first glance it might seem strange but the reason is quite simple, we're nuking, SC is low and we have no time to waste. Begone peasantry procs.
By the time every mob has a viral proc or dead they are long gone on the other build. No, you don't even need to proc viral with another weapon for SP.
I decided to talk about both paths and options below.
[Rime Rounds] vs [Primed Cryo Rounds]:
Any of them works, [Rime Rounds] has a 38,4% to proc Viral vs 35,4% both on hit and AoE at the cost of some instant damage.
[Vile Acceleration] vs Prime Faction Mod:
I prefer the faster charge than overkill dmg, it also saves micro management. If you prefer to see big numbers go with a Prime Faction Mod.
[Critical Delay] vs [Point Blank]:
Same reasoning as above to a lesser extent [Point Blank] already achieves the 100% CC you don't get extra procs of HM above 100%.
If you're only running SP [Critical Delay] is better because the extra chance for a higher crit is better than the charge delay.
[Vigilante Supplies] vs [Terminal Velocity]:
I prefer the damage than the faster travel time or any other buff. Ammo mutation is a plus.
This build is kind of short to put damage using 2 mod slots just to put viral on it, maybe with a Riven running Toxin.
This build has more flexibility than the Viral one and deals more damage.
[Vigilante Armaments] vs [Heavy Caliber] vs [Hammer Shot]:
More reliability versus higher DoT. For me [Galvanized Chamber] MS after some triggers seems more than enough to proc reliably and we're running [Vigilante Supplies] along Sentinel for added damage. That being said extra 50% MS is an added 15% to proc Bleed on AoE which is your main source of damage.
[Hammer Shot] increases you CD (and you always crit on charged shots) while also providing +SC on Rad mostly.
If you're not sure what to use, the higher your Primary Merciless the less impactful is Heavy Caliber comparing with the other 2.
Faction mod:
If you don't care to min-max just discard this for one of the other options on here.
[Continuous Misery]:
If you want more DoT but no micro changing the build before any mission, this seems to be quite good on harder content because Bleed has individual procs.
[Primed Firestorm]:
Now we're talking big league... You do need to have a frame that can be immune to it or able to run [Primed Sure Footed].
Turning 7,2m AoE into 11,95m... Indeed a Merciless [Opticor]!
(...resist the temptation to just put this on the main general build)
[Bladed Rounds]:
This increases your damage more than Hammer Shot, but you have to remember to aim as much as possible, otherwise don't bother with it.
[Bladed Rounds]?
When I'm using [Stahlta] sometimes I aim most times I don't.
If you're ok aiming all the time use it, if not just ignore it. DoT will be higher but usually you don't need it enough to [Sacrifice] the mobility.
[Galvanized Aptitude]?
Just no.
Yes it can [Reach] higher damage with many triggers, but the thing is, you're nuking everything so it's really hard to get a multiplier better than the reliable [Serration] from the get go.
Why would I discard that reliability? If on the map I'm running I'm nuking everything without a [Serration] I don't need [Galvanized Aptitude] to get bigger numbers. This is why I don't like DE's design choice. Strong versus weak and weak versus strong.
It's also counter intuitive, we're used to tackle the biggest threat 1st, we don't care about the rest, with this mod you want to kill the rabble to get stronger for the threat, meanwhile the threat kept unchecked.
