Silent and Still | Silence Slowva | Perma-stun Crowd Control Nova

INTRODUCTION

This a 'Slowva' or Slow-[Nova] build that uses the slow effect of molecular prime to lengthen the stun produced by Silence, allowing you to basically stun-lock entire maps. At maximum slow of 75%, the 2 second stun from Silence is extended to 8 seconds in addition to having special enemy abilities turned off (particularly annoying abilities like hooks, fireblasts, ground slams, grenades and Acolyte abilities - notably Violence and Malice). Any time the stun wears off, you can restun them by exiting and re-entering the silence range. We give up null star and tanking in favour of massive duration for molecular prime and range for silence, relying on shield gating for any breakthrough damage instances, which should be rare with effectively permanent stuns.

BUILD SPECIFICS

Duration
A high duration of >250% is important to allow molecular prime to expand a large distance, since this scales with duration. At a wave duration of 16.9s, molecular prime reaches 89.5m. Silence has an extremely long duration.

Efficiency
Positive efficiency is ideal since most of [Nova]'s abilities, particularly molecular prime, cost a lot of energy. [Streamline] puts efficiency at 130% but you could either remove this or use [Fleeting Expertise] depending on preference.

Range
Neutral range is ideal which can be achieved with [Stretch] and [Augur Reach] to offset [Narrow Minded], reaching a final range of 109%. This gives a silence radius of 21.8m and a wormhole radius of 54.5m. Why do we not want a higher range so Silence affects enemies from even further away? This is because once the initial 8s stun wears off, you need enemies to exit your silence range and re-enter to be re-stunned. This is easier to keep doing if the range is not as long.

Strength
145% Strength is the cap for 75% slow, which can be achieved with [Intensify] + [Power Drift]. If you would like to open up the exilus slot for something more useful, then just replace Intensify with Umbral Intensify which will give you 144% str or 74% slow.

Flexible Slots
Aura:
- Enemy radar is useful for expanding your radar to keep track of new enemy spawns so you can make sure to prime them with 4.
- [Brief Respite] is nice quality of life in Steel Path to refresh shields instantly upon casting 2, 3 or 4, so you can avoid getting one shot but any breakthrough damage
- Sprint boost for speedrunning missions

Exilus:
- [Power Drift] is only necessary if you combine it with normal Intensify. If you want to free up this slot, use Umbral Intensify (you only lose 1% slow).
- Primed sure footed (probably best in slow but needs additional forma and login reward)
- Vigilante pursuit for more radar
- [Escape Velocity] for speedrunning

[Rolling Guard] is flexible and could be switched for [Primed Flow], [Constitution], [Natural Talent] or an augment.
[Catalyzing Shields] if also optional (can replace [Rolling Guard]) since it allows you to have a full 1.33s gate after casting 2. Without [Catalyzing Shields] each cast of 2 only gives about 0.4s gate while a cast of 4 gives about 0.7s

Augur mods flexible for primed flow, but 2 augur mods on frame (with 1 on secondary) help with full shield gating.

Helminth
Silence - prevents eximus and acolyte abilities, stuns enemies briefly which is prolonged by slow

Nourish - Gives viral dmg boost, boosts antimatter drop and taking damage creates viral AOE procs with a short stun which is lengthened by the 75% slow. A more specialized build can be used: https://overframe.gg/build/442240/nova-prime/nourish-nova/

Gloom only affects enemies within the range but does multiply with molecular prime slow. At 145% strength, the total slow becomes 87.5%, which is still less than max gloom slow of 95%. At max gloom slow of 95%, multiplied with 75% from [Nova], we can [Reach] almost 99% slow which is almost freezing time. Energize for energy sustain.
Second slot is optional e.g. weapon boosting (e.g. acceleration), survivability (aegis), parkour speed (consequence)

Archon Shards
TWO Amber Cast Speed - greatly improves the feel of casting Molecular Prime
ONE Tauforged Crimson shard (OPTIONAL) - allows you to hit 45% strength with a regular Intensify (saving forma + 1% extra str)
2-3 Azure Energy Max shards - could replace [Primed Flow] for [Augur Message] or an augment.

PLAYSTYLE

  1. Cast molecular prime 4 to make all enemies 75% slow
  2. Cast silence 1 and walk towards enemies to stun them for 8s
  3. If stun wears off and enemies have not died, backtrack or walk away, then back towards them to restun
  4. Use 3 for quick map traversal
  5. Use 2 for low level nuking

WEAPONS

Molecular Prime's explosions can inherit many special effects such as the 2000% multiplier on 50% of non-crits from Incarnon Weapons as well as the % health augments such as Acid Shells Sobek, Thermagnetic Shells Detron, Vulcan Blitz Jat Kittag and Entropy Detonation Obex.

Each antimatter drop orb can absorb a maximum damage of 25,000 (not affected by crits or status) and output a maximum of 200K damage as radiation damage. Weapons that can easily hit 25,000 raw damage in one shot include Felarx, Opticor, Exergis, Tenet Arca Plasmor and Tigris Prime/[Sancti Tigris].
